Dear participants, supervisors, and spectators – I welcome you warmly! For years, unicycling has gained in importance. Thanks to an increasing number of unicyclists, it now enjoys immense popularity: Carrying out the world cham-pionship in our province is a visible sign.

The organizers are looking forward to welcoming 2,000 athletes and to enjoy-ing exciting competitions. They have done their best to provide ideal conditions and are very well known for their good reputation, as well as their hospitality. These factors assure that everybody involved, be it those responsible, partici-pants, and spectators, enjoy the 16th world championship as a fair and success-ful competition.

In this sense, I wish all participants great success and eventful days in South Tyrol.

Dr. Luis DurnwalderProvincial Governor

Welcome to Brixen, South Tyrol

It is with great pleasure that I’m welcoming the participants of the Unicycle World Championships Unicon16 in Brixen. Over 2.000 athletes from all around the world will be competing from July 20 – 31, 2012 at various sights in town and in the beautiful mountain area surrounding us. We are looking forward to see-ing some really exciting races and trials, everyone giving their best at excelling. These past years Brixen has already been venue for several large sports events, so as the IAAF - Word Youth Championships 2009. And so I’m much delighted to once again seeing our hometown being transformed into the place of get-together in a spirit of friendship and mutual enthusiasm for sports. The expected numbers might draw us some idea of what is about to happen: 3.000 guests of all ages from 0 - 99, more than 30 different disciplines, 12 day of program from 8 am till 12 pm, 400 competitions, 25 hours of price-giving cere-monies with a total of 1.400 medals, 256 trophies and 9 group-cups, etc. A truly special event is awaiting us! Special thanks go to the organizers of UNI-CON, for all their commitment in making this fantastic event happen.I wish all guests a wonderful stay in our town and hope the participants will enjoy thrilling competitions - best of luck to them! Unicon16 is going to be an extraordinary convention. We, the organizers of Uni-con16, are looking forward to not only hold the World Championships but also make a great Unicycle Convention happen. As the name Unicycling Convention & World Championship suggests, the focus of the event lies on the get-together, as well as the competition. At UniCon16, you can not only win medals, but mostly friends and experiences you’ll be able to tell all your life. This is why Unicon16 will have a lot of room for all kinds of meetings, workshops and time to have fun. Unicon16 wants to promote Unicycling as a sport; the best place to do that is where unicyclists from all over the world are present, meet and ride together. We want to present you Unicon16 as a great unicycle fest, a unique experience, a dream coming true.We warmly welcome you to this dream. Enjoy your stay in Brixen South Tirol.Welcome to Unicon16!

Track-RacesThis description provides a short overview over the various track race unicycle disciplines at Unicon16 and their procedures. The detailed rules and descriptions are defined within the IUF- Rulebook 2012 and within the event instructions and track race information of Unicon16. All competitors must study these event specific rules of the rule book and all published track race event instructions and track race information before participating in the competition.

Location and Time ScheduleThe track races are being held at the Fischzucht athletics stadium. We have 5 days for all the track race competitions, which are scheduled as follows:

> 21st July: special track race starting workshop to practice starting with false start monitoring system.

> 23rd July: age group races 100m races, in parallel IUF-Slalom (obstacle) and Slow-Races

> 24th and 25th July: age group races one foot, wheel walk, relay races, 400m and 800m

> 26th July: track race finals > 29th July: track coasting including final

General Information for all Track Race DisciplinesUnicycle RacksDue to security reasons, there may not be any unicycles at the stands. Unicycles must be parked at the special racks. Please make sure that all emergency exits and stairways are free from unicycles. Unicycles placed on stairways or at emergency exits will be removed immediately.

Tracks / Starting ZoneIn order to run the track competitions smoothly, only athle-tes are being allowed on the track. Coaches and spectators may watch from the stands.

StandstillGoalBalance as long as possible on your unicycle freely without riding.

Standstill-standThe Stillstand-stand is located in the Trials hall in the area T4. The participant stands with his unicycle on a base plate (15x9cm) and is not allowed to ride off the plate. Left and right of the participant are two handles. When the partici-pant lets go of both handles time starts running. The time stops when the participant touches the handles.

Rules > The time will be measured by competitors touching

the handles. > If a participant leaves the base plate without touching

the handles beforehand, the attempt does not count. > Only attempts longer than 20 seconds are counted. > Each participant has 2 minutes to start a valid attempt. > Both feet must be on the pedals. > The top three participants have the opportunity to

improve their best time once again in the final. If this fails, then the best time is from the regular season for ranking.

Start timeFree start time during these hours:

> July 24: 8:00-12:00 and 15:00-20:00 > July 25: 8:00-12:00

Finals of top 3 over all will be held on July 25 at 18:00 in the Freestyle gym.

Event Director: Manfred Pötz

Obligatory ProtectionKnee pads, shoes, gloves and helmets must be worn during all track races and also during warm-up practice in the stadium. Only for the slow races no protection is necessa-ry. Not wearing proper safety equipment is a reason for disqualification in this event.

Timing and Event Specific JudgingFor 100m, 400m, 800m, One Foot and Wheel Walk races an especially for unicycling racing developed timing system is used including false start monitoring per individual lane. This system was developed by the Swiss Unicycle Racing Union. We are very happy to use this perfect system to run an as fair as possible competition. To make sure that we do not get any running starts not caught by this electronic system, we have at least two judges at the starting line in addition, only watching out for running starts. Running starts will be handled like false starts detected by the elec-tronic system. The One-Foot 5m line will be also monitored by video to have an objective judging possibility in case of any uncertainties.

Heats / Starts / Finish LineOnly ONE false start is tolerated per heat. Riders causing the second or further false starts will be directly disqua-lified, even if it was their first one personally. In all races with defined lane per rider, leaving the lane results in disqualification. The finish line must be crossed with the complete unicycle and under full control before dismoun-ting. Any dismount before will result in disqualification. In general remounting is only allowed in relay and 800m discipline.

Track Race Disciplines

100m, 400mIn these disciplines 8 riders start in their individual lane cycling from start to finish as fast as possible without dismounting.

800mIndividual lanes for the first 100m. Remounting is allowed in this discipline.

50m One FootRiders pedal with both feet for the first 5 meters, but must be pedaling with only one foot after crossing the 5m line. The non-pedaling foot may be braced against the unicycle fork, or extended.

Wheel Walk30m Wheel Walk / 10m Wheel Walk (0-10)Riders start mounted, with their feet on the tire, and ride the unicycle only by pushing the tire with their feet. No contact with pedals or crank arms is allowed.

IUF-Slalom (former name: Obstacle)The IUF-Slalom consists of 10 cones which the competitor must ride around in the correct pattern. Cones may be hit, but not knocked over. The course must be followed correct-ly, including the direction of turns. The last cone must be completely circled before the rider’s time is taken at the finish line. Each rider has two attempts and the better one is taken for the ranking.

Relay (4x100m)Teams of 4 riders form a relay team. Each team member rides 100m and hands over a baton within the marked area. Riders may remount if necessary, and must pick up the baton, if it is dropped.

Slow RacesSlow Forward: The object is to ride in a continuously for-ward motion as slowly as possible without stopping, going backward, hopping, or twisting more than 45 degrees to either side. Two different board sizes are used: Age 0-10: 10m x 30cm. Age 11+: 10m x 15cm.

Slow Backward: This is the same as the slow forward race except that 0-10 ride on 60cm wide area and 11+ ride on a 30cm wide board.

Track Coasting: Is an event to determine which rider coasts the furthest distance. Riders must not touch any part of their tires, wheels or pedals after the starting line while coasting. The farthest coasting distance wins. The distance is measured to the rearmost part of the rider that touches the ground when dismounting, or to the rear of the tire where the rider stops coasting. Remounting is notallowed. Riders get two attempts. If a rider crosses the coasting line (front of the tire) not in coasting position, he or she is disqualified from that attempt.

Long distance

10 km Time-RaceThe 10km race is the first official competition of Unicon16 and one of the disciplines with the most participants. The 10km race starts in the morning of July 21st in small groups of 3 riders.

SpectatorsThe finish is in the stadium, but spectators may also cheer for the participants along the last kilometer as well. Espe-cially in the final section, participants can use your support because the final stretch is very long. Cheering will not be possible at the beginning of the race since the start area is very narrow, and bounded on two sides by a fence.

ParticipantsStartThe start is next to the swimming pool in Klausen and is 10km from the finish. Shuttle buses will take you from the Unicon16 bus stop next to the stadium to the start of the race. There are two classes of wheel sizes: 24 inch standard and „unlimited class“.

The „unlimited class“ starts first. Afterwards the 24“ standard class will start. As the track is very narrow at the start, the race will start in very small groups of 3 partici-pants. Every 30 seconds a group of riders will start. The track follows the river side of the Eisack River. Each par-ticipant is responsible for their timely appearance at the start. An athlete who does not arrive in time has his start canceled; he is not allowed to start later.

Timing / rulesThe race is timed using a chip at the foot. It is started in small groups. The start time is published on the starting list for each participant. Your starting number must be on your front. You get your timekeeping chip in Klausen before the start. The timekeeping chip must be attached with Velcro at the ankle. Participants can only start with a chip on the foot. For timing at the finish line, the position of the chip will be recorded and not the position of the wheel. The chip must be mounted at the foot (not fixed to the unicycle). 10km race starts with the typical start beep. A early start during the start beep will result in a 10 second time penalty.

ShuttleWe organized buses to bring you from Brixen to Klausen to start. The trip takes about 20 minutes. We arrange your bus by your starting time. Please check the time of your bus on the bus ticket in your registration-bag . The first bu-ses start at 7:30 for unlimited class, last bus leaves Brixen at 11:00. Any bags - marked with your starting number - that you do not want to take with you for the race can be dropped at the table where you get your timing chip. They will be transported by shuttle bus to the finish at the stadium in Brixen.

TrackThe trail follows the cycle path along the river Eisack directly to the stadium. The route runs along the river, without a lot of turns. It is almost entirely on asphalt. Only a short distance in the habitat (400m) is not asphalt, but packed gravel and is easy to ride. A very long stretch of the road leads next to the stadium. The route is marked with red arrows and tape, and leaves the bike path only for the end route to the stadium for the finish.Overtaking is possible on the whole route without any problems. The finish is at the stadium, on the tartan track. You have to ride half a lap to the finish line. The route is slightly uphill, the finish is 50 meters higher than the start. On the route there are a few hot dog stands, but no official waterstops of Unicon16.

Protective ClothingAt the 10 km race helmets, knee pads, shoes and hand pro-tectors and starting number at the front is compulsory.

World RecordSince the track has too much height difference between start and finish, the times on this route will be recognized as an official IUF world record.

Event Director: Diego Farina

Marathon 43kmThe unicycle marathon will take place on Sunday, July 29th. Over 200 unicyclists will try to ride more than 43 km as fast as possible. Start is in Bozen/Bolzano, the finish is in Brixen/Bressanone.

SpectatorsIt is possible to cheer for the riders in some places on the track. Note: The shuttle bus brings the participants to the start, but the bus does not go back to Brixen. Spectators who want to see the start, need to use public transport for this reason, or go by car to the start.

ParticipantsStartThe start is at the cable car „Jensiener Seilbahn“ at the

northern end of Bolzano. A shuttle bus will take partici-pants to the start. Please note the departure time of your bus on your bus ticket.

TrackThe marathon course runs along the bike path and follows the river Talfer downstream. Then the bike path follows the river Eisack upstream. We leave the city of Bolzano quickly. During the first 8 km there are some art objects next to the path bike. The old railway line is used as a bike path and there are some tunnels on the way to Brixen. On the way to Brixen a few places like Kollmann, Ponte Garde-na and Klausen will be crossed. From Klausen, we use the same route as the 10km race.

TransportBuses take the competitors from the stadium in Brixen to the start in Bozen. Please check your bus ticket in the regis-tration bag for exact departure time. The shuttle bus takes about 40 minutes.

CategoriesThe scoring is done in two wheel size classes: 700c (29”) and the unlimited class.

> 29“ wheels are allowed up to a maximum diameter of 768mm . The crank length is not limited. Unicycles with gears are not allowed.

> in the unlimited class, all unicycles are allowed

TimingThe race is timed using a chip on foot, and starts with a mass start. The race number must be clearly visible on the chest

FinishThe finish is in the stadium in Brixen.

RequirementsIn the marathon race helmets, knee pads, shoes and hand protectors, and the starting number in front are required.

IUF world recordThere is a height difference of 200 meters between the start and the finish. For this reason the time can not apply for an IUF World Record.

Event Director: Diego Farina

100 kmThe 100km race is a new discipline. It is the first time that it is being held at a Unicon. Never before at a Unicycle World Championships was a race that was as far as this competition. The exciting thing: both teams, as well as a single riders can start. The race takes place on a circuit in Brixen with the finish in the Unicon16 stadium. The 100km race is the final discipline of Unicon16 and leads to the farewell party.

SpectatorsThe route runs along the Eisack on both sides of the river. Particularly interesting points along the route are the three bridges, and the stadium with the start, finish, and the swap zone. We expect the fastest 100km-participants to cross the finish line shortly after lunch.

ParticipantsTeam sizeThree different classes are possible

> solo > team: 2-4 riders > team: 5-12 riders

For teams it is allowed to change riders every lap. there is a specially marked area in the stadium to change.

RouteThe start is at the stadium. The track is an 8.4 km long cir-cuit, which must be run 12 times. The route runs along both sides of the river Eisack and goes through the Unicon16 Stadium. Inside the stadium will be the water-stop and the zone to change riders for the teams. The track is very flat and has little but sharp turns; a part of the route is packed gravel and easy forest floor with small roots, but is easy to handle with a 36-inch unicycle.

Start / FinishStart will begin as a mass start. The finish line is in the stadium.

TimingThe race is timed with timing chips at the foot of the riders. Teams get two timing chips which allows participants to swap quickly without stopping. Both chips have to be returned after the race at the finish line.

RequirementsCompetitors of the 100 km race must wear helmet, knee pads, shoes and hand guards, and the start number on the front.

SpectatorsTo keep the performing environment clean and provide maximum room for spectators, unicycles and luggage may not be brought into the gym. The gym has space for ap-proximately 1000 spectators, which is why only registered participants of Unicon16 are being allowed to watch. The entrance for spectators is opposite the Infopoint and marked with the sign “Freestyle Spectators”. You can leave your unicycle at our Unicycle Parking space next to the Infowall.

CompetitorsWe have allowed a generous time to fit the scheduled performances and judging time. This should allow enough time to warm up for each age group. There are 10 changing rooms for the competitors. There is a entrance for competitors on ground floor under the spectators-entrance marked with “Freestyle Competi-tors”

> The floor of the gym is new and blue, as used for hand-ball.

HockeyAll unicycle hockey games will be in the Hockey gym at the “Pädagogisches Gymnasium” school at the city center.

There will be two separate hockey tournaments:

1. The A-tournament The A-tournament consists of 12 teams. The winner of this tournament is the official Unicycle Hockey World Champi-on 2012.

In the preliminary round, there will be 4 groups of 3 teams each. The best two teams continue to the quarter final. Next, there will be the Semifinals and then the final.

2. The B-tournament2. The B-tournament is open to all other teams. This tournament is less competition-oriented and open to all interested riders, no metter how much experience they have in unicycle hockey. There will be 24 teams in the B-tournament.

If necessary, the final assignment for either tournament A or B will be done through the organizers.

The winner of tournament B will be placed behind tourna-ment A, being the 13th in the overall result list.

IUF rules apply. The most important rules are summarized here:

is behind by more than 15 points). Ties in playoff games will be decided by 4 minutes of overtime play. Each team will have one 30 second time-out in the preliminary games and two 60 second time-outs during the finals.

Rules and RefereesThe IUF Rulebook, Section 7 will be used. Each team is required to provide two referees who must be trained at a Basketball Referee Workshop. These two referees can be players from the team or two other individuals who are present at Unicon. A mandatory referee workshop will be held before the tournament on Saturday, July 21st, 2012 at 6pm. Players with questions or concerns about the rules are encouraged to attend.

Number of PlayersEach team is allowed a maximum of ten players, but only five can be playing at any given time. Substitutions are only allowed during a dead ball by notifying a referee.

UnicyclesThe maximum rim diameter is 525mm (standard 24” wheel), AND the maximum wheel diameter is 630mm. Unicycles cannot use gears or chains. The basic idea is that each player is riding a standard 24” or smaller unicycle -- no Schlumpf geared unis; no giraffes. The outside diameter limit has been increased from the previous 618mm since some bigger players may prefer a larger tire -- this is accep-table as long as the tire is mounted on a standard 24” rim.

Unicycles must not have sharp or protruding parts any-where which might cause injuries. Pedals must be plastic or rubber.

Required DressIt is required that all players of a team wear shirts of the same color. The color must be clearly different from the opponent’s color and each team should have two different colored sets of shirts at the start of each game. It is stron-gly encouraged that every player have a number clearly visible on both the front and back of the shirt.

AwardsEach player on a team which places 1st, 2nd, or 3rd will receive an award. This means there will be a losers bracket after the semifinals so that 1st through 3rd place medals are determined.

Team sports

BasketballGreetings Unicycle Basketball fans! Some of the competi-tors are coming to Unicon solely to compete in basketball; for others basketball is just one the many activities they want to enjoy at Unicon. Accordingly, there will be two se-parate unicycle basketball tournaments. The A tournament consists of the best 16 teams which are competing for the title of the World Champion. The level of play will be the best in the world and intense. The B tournament will focus more on fun than on serious competition to allow peop-le to experience the joy of unicycle basketball in a more relaxed competition.

For the A tournament, at the beginning of Unicon there will be a meeting of all team captains and designated referees in the basketball gym. Each team’s captain and designated referee (or referees) must be present. This mee-ting is tentatively scheduled for Sat., July 21 at 13:00. Please check the online schedule (see link below) for the latest updated information. There will be a review of the tourna-ment procedures as well as the rules.

The Basketball competitions are being held in the CONI gym. The Basketball gym has 3 courts.

Basic Schedule > A Tournament: July 23 -27, 2012. Final: July 27 at 15:00 > B Tournament: July 29-30, 2012

Tournament and Number of GamesThe A Tournament will have 16 teams. Those teams are divided into four groups/pools based on our best estimate of their ranking based on past performance in previous competitions.

We are currently planning to have a round-robin in each pool, i.e., each team plays all three of the other teams in its pool. At the end of the round-robin, each team will be ranke 1 thru 4 in its pool based on its record (win-tie-loss), and point differentials will be used to break ties.

The next stage will be a single-elimination playoff with all the teams, with the highest ranking teams playing the lowest ranking teams. So, each team in the A tournament will play a minimum of 4 games.

Schedule and Length of GamesAll games will start as scheduled (even if players are not ready); teams that have fewer than 4 players on the court at the start of the game time will forfeit. Preliminary games will consist of two 10 minute running halves, with a maximum of 1 minute between halves. Quarterfinal and semifinal games will consist of two 20 minute running halves, with 4 minutes between halves (quarterfinal game duration subject to change based on court availability). The final game will have 25 minute halves with a 5 minute halftime. The clock will only stop for time-outs except du-ring the last two minutes of the second half (unless a team

> 20” unicycles are recommended. A maximum of 24” is allowed.

> Unicycles must not have sharp or protruding parts anywhere which might cause injuries. Pedals must be plastic or rubber.

> Tires need to be made for a gym, meaning they may not leave any marks.

> Hockey sticks need to have an even surface or have to be taped so they don’t leave any marks on the floor.

> The ball used will be a tennis ball.

At the beginning of Unicon, on Saturday July 21 from 15:00-17:00, there is a meeting in the Hockey gym to which each team should send at least one representative. Also, all players who don‘t have a team yet should come. Here, the final assignment of players to their teams will be made (especially for the mixed teams). Next, the drawing of the teams into the groups will be made. Finally, all important rules will be discussed.

TrialsThe classic trials competition will be held Saturday, July 21st at Trials hall and the surrounding area. The final of the best riders will be the highlight on July 25th.

SpectatorsSpecatators can watch the competition on July 21st from 15:00 to 21:00 from the stands at the Trials hall. The final on July 25th will be held at 15:00 with the awards ceremo-ny right afterwards. It is not allowed to step on the compe-tition area or the obstacles for spectators.

ParticipantsIn order to make a fair competition, it is not allowed to ride on the obstacles before the competition (19th, 20th and 21st of July).During the competition on July 21st, competitors have two hours to clear as many lines as they can. Participants are being divided into two starting groups with different starting times. We want to keep the waiting time at the obstacles short, which is why we won’t divide the starting groups by level of riding, as the IUF recommends. The course consists of different obstacles, some of which are being used by several lines. The starting and finishing points are marked with a line. Sections are marked after the IUF color code.

ProtectionObligatory: Helmet, knee pads, shin guards, gloves and / or wrist guards.

Final / TiebreakerParticipants of the final are being posted at the info wall on July 22. The trials final will be held July 25th at 15 at Trials hall.

Jumps

FlatlandSpectatorsFlatland is an exciting discipline where riders show their best and most creative tricks. During qualification riders perform alone, and compete 1 vs 1 in Final battles. The competition will be run on flat ground, and any type of unicycle is allowed. In Battles the riders compete in a knockout system against each other - trick for trick and try to beat each (as in dance battles). The audience is close to the riders and are called for to ensure the right mood. Anyone who loves high-caliber tricks is in the right place!

CompetitorsThe Flatland contest will be held at the Trials hall at Loca-tion T1. There are two age groups (0-14 and 15 +) available for male and one for female participants. The older riders (aged 15 +) start first. Exact start times are posted on the Message Board at the beginning of Unicon16

QualifyingIn the qualifying round each rider can show his skills for one minute and is then evaluated by the jury. The top 8 riders go for finals.

FinalsIn the middle of a large circle of spectators two riders battle against each other.

ProtectionNo protective clothing required. We highly recommend all participants to wear a helmet.

Unicon16 rulesDuring qualifying, each competitor has 60 seconds to ride.Limit per country: 20 riders

Event Director: Olaf SchloteChief Judge: Mark Fabian

Street CompetitionSpectatorsIn Street a variety of tricks are done on ramps, stairs, hand-rails, etc. Any obstacles that you could see on the street. The audience can expect spectacular and breathtaking jumps and tricks.

CompetitorsThere are two age groups (0-14 and 15 +) available for male and one for female competitors. The older riders (aged 15 +) start first. The exact start times will be posted on the Info-Wall at the beginning of Unicon16.

Street will take place at the Skate park Z1-Z3; there are three zones with different obstacles provided.

Speed TrialsSpeed Trials is new at Unicon16, but probably not new to most trials riders. The competition will be held on the mor-ning of Friday, July 27th. Finals of the 16 fastest riders will be held directly afterwards at 12:00.

CompetitorsDuring the race, two riders are competing on two identical courses of trials obstacles. The goal is to finish the course as fast as possible without dismounting the unicycle.

The finishing time of the preliminary rounds decides who is going to be in the finals. The fastest riders will compete against each other in pairs of two in the final. The faster one advances to the next round.

StartRiders start lying on the ground, hands on back. The uni-cycle is lying on the ground as well, in front of the starting line. After the starting signal, competitors have to mount their unicycle before the starting line and finish the course without dismounting.

RulesIf a rider makes a mistake, he or she may go back to the starting line and start again. Mistakes are counted as in the normal trials competition.

ProtectionHelmet, knee pads, shin guards, shoes and gloves.

Event Director: Arne Tilgen

High jump and Long jumpThe High jump and Long jump competitions for all age groups take place on July 30th in the stadium from 8:00-12:00 and 15:00-19:00 with free start time. The tiebreakers for the age groups and the final and will be on July 31st.

SpectatorsThe jump competition promises to be very interesting because of optimizations in jump unicycles and jumping techniques in recent years.A special highlight will be the finals on July 31st during the 100km race. It will take place on the track immediately in front of grandstand. We expect new records in High jump and Long jump.

ParticipantsAge group jumpThe Age group jump take place on the July 30th from 8:00-12:00 and 15:00-19:00 with free start time. High jump will be held at the stadium arches S3 and long jump at the final straight S7. Riders with the same height or length placing top 3 in any age group will go for tiebrea-kers next day. Participants of the tiebreakers and finals will be published in the evening of July 30th at the result board.

TiebreakIf a rider reaches the final and a tiebreaker too, his jumps will be valid for final and tiebreaker, so that the athlete

must jump only once.Otherwise the tiebreaker of the age group will be held directly before the final.

FinalsBest of 8 highest / longest jumpers over all are qualified for the final on July 31th. Finals start with the discipline long jump, starting with sex female from 10:00 – 12:00 respec-tively immediately after the age group tiebreaker. The final high jump will held in the same sequence from 15:00 – 17:00. The finals start with following minimum heights / lengths:

> High jump: female 45 cm / male 75 cm > Long jump: female 180 cm / male 250 cm

GeneralIn case of bad weather the competition will be held in the Trials hall T1.There are 3 High jump and 3 Long jump apparatuses availa-ble. They can used to carry out the competition at the same time and have different ranges.

High jump > Area 1: up to 45 cm > Area 2: 41 cm to 80cm > Area 3: from 75cm

All riders are asked to jump them warm in the existing training equipment, so that they can start the competi-tion in the apparatuses which is expected that they will reached the final height / length. It is also possible to move to another apparatuses during the competition. For examp-le the rider jumps in area 1 up to 41 cm and he expects that he will jump higher than 45 cm, he could decide by himself when he moves to area 2 in range 41 cm to 45 cm. After moving to area 2 he normally continues the competition with the next height.Participants can choose which height they want to start with and they can also decide to skip a height.

Long jump > Area 1: up to 150 cm > Area 2: 100cm – 220 cm > Area 3: from 180 cm

The procedure on Long jump will be the same as High jump.

Protective equipmentIn addition rulebook Shine-guards are required next to Helmet, knee pads and gloves.

Age groupsFemale / male: 0-11, 12-14, 15-16, 17-18, 19-24, 25+

Special features for long jump competitionJump marker and landing marker for the area 2 and area 3 will be additional monitored with electronic sensors. Be-cause of technical reasons the makers must have a height up to 1 cm, see also separate description. The start line will be 3 meters before the jump marker and the finish line is 6 meters behind the jump marker. Both lines (start and finish line) must be ridden in correct way that the attempt will be valid.
