2. Vide O.M., it has been notified that UN GeneralAssemblywhile recognizing the importance...of micro, small and medium sized enterprises (MSMEs) in achieving the new globaldevelopment goals, has designated 27thJune as International Day for MSMEs by adopting aresolution in this regard. Accordingly, the Ministry of MSME has decided that all organizationsunder the Ministry may also celebrate the "International Dayfor MSMEson 2ih June, 2017 byorganizingseminars/workshops for the MSMEsthroughout the country.

3. As directed by the M/o MSME, all the MSME-Dlsand sections of this office are requested totake necessaryaction in this regard.

The undersigned is directed to say that UN General Assembly whilerecognizing the importance of micro, small and medium sized enterprises (MSMEs)in achieving the new global development goals, has designated 27th June asInternational Day for MSMEs by adopting a resolution in this regard. To recognizethe important role played by MSMEs in the development of Indian economy, thisMinistry !1aS decided that all organisations under the Ministry may also celebratethe 'International Day for MSMEs' on 27th June, 2017 by organisingseminars/vvorkshops for the MSMEs through out the country. United Nations hasinvited all its member States to observe the day and raise public awareness of theconh.ibution of MSMEs to the 2030Agenda for Sustainable Development

All the Divisions/Organisations of the Ministry are hereby directed to takenecessary action for celebrating the 'International Day for MSMEs' on 27th June
