Admission RequirementsFull Admission 1. Complete the UM International Undergraduate Application. 2. Submit a complete admission application and the US $30 application fee.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, check drawn on a US bank or an international money order payable to the University of Montana. Please do not send cash. Application fees are not refundable.

3. Submit a copy of the information page in your valid passport. 4. Submit a financial statement in the name of the sponsor indicated on the

certificate of responsibility in the application that covers one year of your costs at UM.

5. Submit official transcripts, academic records, diplomas, national examination results, certificates or degrees received from all secondary, post-secondary, university and/or professional schools.

6. Submit an official English language test score report demonstrating one of the following:

a. TOEFL = 70iBT, 525 PBT or higher b. IELTS = 6.0 or higher c. MELAB = 74 or higher d. SAT (writing score) = 440 e. ACT (English writing) = 18 f. EIKEN = Pre-1

Undergraduate Pathway (UP) AdmissionThe UP Program is for students who want to enroll in a UM bachelor degree program and have an advanced level of English proficiency but are below the minimum requirement for full admission. 1. Complete the UM International Undergraduate Application. 2. Submit a complete admission application and the US $30 application fee.

Certificate of Financial Responsibility

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services requires that every international student verify the availability of funds to pay for educational and living expenses before an I-20 or DS-2019 form can be issued. The I-20 or DS-2019 is used to obtain a visa to enter the United States. Complete and return this form with your completed International Undergraduate Application for admission.
