dozer undercarriage & crawler shoe division

Our dozer undercarriage division is operated from a 2,000 square metre workshop, equipped with state of the art machinery and robotic welders. It is positioned on a 16,000 square metre property in such a way that we are more than capable of managing two B-Double trucks at any one time, as well as storing dozer and excavator undercarriage components when necessary.10 WATSON COuRT, TOOWOOmBA

track Frame division parts departmentA new, 1,600 square metre workshop has recently been commissioned to accept our D10 and D11 track frame reconditioning works. It is fully equipped with specialist lifting and rotating machinery that can safely manage the reconditioning process. This enables us to deliver to the machines owner a brand new end product that is not only cost effective but will match and on many occasions better the wear capabilities of the OEm product. Also, they are readily available thus minimising machine down time. Customers can opt for individual parts or complete track groups all of which we stand by with the ETS assurance.

roller re-shellingETS provide a roller re-shelling service on an exchange basis. Brand new roller shells are sourced to take the non-wearing cores of the exchanged units. The rollers are disassembled using our specially designed 200 tonne roller press. From there the roller cores are extracted thoroughly cleaned and checked for tolerances. Before being reassembled into brand new roller shells, Duo-cones and O-rings are replaced then the rollers are lubricated back to specification. The completed roller groups are then packaged in specially fabricated steel cradles for transportation. In essence the end user receives a roller group that not only has the ETS assurance but will give the same wear life as a new set at a fraction of the cost.

new idlersETS is committed to lower maintenance and operating costs for all of our customers knowing that 50% of a track type machines operating cost come directly from undercarriage. In keeping with this belief we have invested heavily into researching and developing our own brand of idler wheel to fit D8 through D11 dozers. Extensive field testing has been successfully completed and we are in a position to offer them onto the open market. ETS Idlers are a cast items that are induction hardened to provide greater wear capabilities.

idler rebuildingAs a part of the whole undercarriage assembly, ETS rebuilds Idlers back to specification. Like the rollers this service is offered on an exchange basis. It provides to the end user, an as new idler at a fraction of the new price yet maintaining the same performance and wear life as a new idler group. All wear areas on the idler are recovered back to OEm specification, bearings are replaced and the shafts are polished, measurements are checked and corrected and all Duo-cones and O-rings are replaced. Each unit is then reassembled and painted and secured into fabricated steel transportation frames before being dispatched.

mid-liFe rebuilds (bush turn)ETS recognises the need to provide a quality product that is not only cost effective but just as important, minimises down-time for machines whilst at the same time maximising undercarriage use for the owner. We can address this in part by offering a mid-life turn and re-lug on these track groups. Track groups are received by the 4000-6000 hour mark, (depending on the ground conditions they are working in) they are then stripped down, the bushes are turned, and the track plates re-lugged. They are then reassembled using new OEm seals; finally they are lubricated and then sent back out to work for another 4000-6000hours. When inspecting bushes occasionally the seals may groove the bush faces. Some may opt at this point to replace the complete bushing group thus adding significant extra cost. The preferred option for ETS is to contain cost by modifying the seal face then spacing the seal out to the amount machined usually 1-2mm. This process is guaranteed for the rest of the bushings wear life.

track plate re-luggingTrack plate re-lugging is available for CAT D8 through to D11 and Komatsu 375 to 575. utilising the highest quality grouser bar and a twin oscillator-head inverter welding process, re-lugged track plates maintain the same wear life and performance as a new item.

ets specialises in reconditioning track frames. once received the track frames are completely disassembled. they are then sandblasted in order that nata crack testing can be undertaken to the

main frames, cannons and major bogies. all wear points are measured and pad-welded back to specification, at the same time line-boring procedures are carried out to key guides and cartridge

bores. cannon tubes and floor plates are updated to the latest oem specifications and minor bogies are converted to 3-bolt design. the assembly process is then begun using only the highest quality

parts. the track frames are then painted and secured for transportation.
