CREAT-IT Pedagogical Framework

Mainly involve students between 12 and 16 years old (but late primary school
students could take part)
At least one teacher responsible (2 teachers recommended, one from art
and one from science)
Sample script could be provided
Students and teachers select a science theme that would like to develop as a
theatrical performance
The project

Students split in working teams that undertake:
The script development (or rewriting/update/adapt the existing script)
Select the roles for the existing characters (this should be done according to the students and
teachers decision) They select or/and develop relevant videos and
presentations that are included in the script. They select or/and compose music for the play as
well as prepare live music performance during the presentation of the play.
They design clothes and scenery/sets They develop choreography according to the
needs of the theatrical performance
The project

Realisation of workshops for the teachers to guide and support them (at least 3 workshops in the first 3
months of the project).
Visits of the organisers to the schools during the project to help and advise during the development,
preparation and rehearsal periods (at least one actor or director (science background recommended) and
one pedagogist provided from the organisers)
Performances from the students in a 2 day event (depend on the participating teams).
Performances of the winners for the general public (optional)
