Ultrazur™ ZW1000 IN THE TREATMENT LINES

• Ultrazur™ ZW1000 makes uppart of an advanced clarificationsystem.

• The out-in filtration / immersedmembrane technology requiringcoagulant injection is positionedafter flotation or settling to filterout particles as small as 0.02 µmin size.

Ultrazur™ ZW1000 SYSTEM FEATURES

• A system made up of cassettes in series immersed in a concrete gravity-feed tank

• 4 cassettes models available all using the same-sized modules

• 2 different module densities offering either 46.5 m² or 55.7 m² filtering surface area

• Selection of module type depends on water quality at the ultrafiltration tank inlet

CASE STUDY: MACAO, CHINA

CONTEXT:

• Client: SAAM (Sociedade de Abastecimento de Águasde Macau) [SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT]

• Date of work: Sept. 2006 – May 2008

• Challenge: limited space, turbidity, algae content

• 2-phase project: 2 x 60 000 m3/day

DESIGN :

• Capacity phase 1: 60 000 m 3 /day net Number of Ultrazur™ ZW1000:– 5 lines of 3 cassettes with 90 modules each (+

6 dummy modules)

o 60,619 m² of filtering surface area

• Treatment line:– Flotation with Aquadaf™, Ultrafiltration.
