The Prep 1 Rudiments Workbook introduces the beginning level of theory for students of allages beginning as early as age 6 - 8. It is important for your younger student to be able toread and complete the homework assignments on their own. Prep 1 is followed by Prep 2.

The Prep 2 Rudiments Workbook continues with the theoretic foundation building step by stepas it completes the requirements of the Preparatory Rudiments level of theory. Wheneverpossible, students should complete these levels before beginning the Basic Rudiments level.

The Basic Rudiments Workbook enables students to develop a deeper understanding ofmusic through analysis, evaluation and interpretation of their pieces. It is strongly advisedthat students complete the Basic Workbook before going on to the Intermediate level.

The Intermediate Rudiments Workbook provides students with the objective of following alogical pattern of progress to understand the unique qualities and inherent characteristics ofmusic. It is strongly advised that students complete the Intermediate Workbook before goingon to the Advanced level.

The Advanced Rudiments Workbook demonstrates by use of significant examples, theconcepts leading to a concise process of understanding the fundamentals of music. This isan important foundation in preparing students to become successful musicians and vocalists.

The Complete Rudiments Workbook is for the older beginner, adult student and transferstudent who requires accelerated theory instruction. Although this is a combination of Basic,Intermediate and Advanced Rudiments, the Complete Rudiments Workbook formulates theoryconcepts in a concise manner that demonstrates successful learning by understanding theattributes of the subject and the principal distinguishing features of music through analysisand comprehensive review tests.
