Millions of years ago, when subzero ice age environment prevailed, the sapropels were formed. Over the years of slow anaerobic decomposition, those fresh-water lake sediments have produced a complex mineral and organic substance. Sapropel contains a wide range of natural substances, including humic acids, biochemically valuable microelements as well as microorganisms of different groups. All of them take part in soil structure forma tion and are the key elements of soil fertility.

The sapropels proved to be highly efficient and environmen- tally friendly organic fertilizers. They significantly improve agrochemical characteristics of soils of all types and profiles. And the most important part – they increase productivity of all kinds of plants as well as shrubs and trees.
