Simple to use, accurate reading in 45 secondsThe EDGETM Handheld Lactate Analyser is a handheld device that measures lactate concentration in blood.

The EDGETM only needs a small drop of blood (<3μl).

The test strips have a siphoning action which draws the blood in and then measures using an advanced biosensor specific for lactate concentration in blood. Witness® LH was designed to pinpoint the optimum time for canine breeding. Since its inception, LH testing has a proven variety of uses in multiple species.

During the canine estrus cycle, the LH surge may occur from days 3 to 28 (average days 3 to 12) after observable signs of heat and lasts approximately 24 hours. Ovulation occurs 2 days after the LH surge. Ova then require an additional 2 to 3 days to mature into a stage that will support fertilization.

The fertile period of the bitch falls between days 4 and 7 after the LH surge with the most fertile days being 5 and 6 (the day of the LH surge is counted as Day 0). Determining the LH surge is perhaps the most critical factor in reproductive efficiency.

Parasep Faecal Filters

Fast and Accurate Worm Egg CountsDeveloped in conjunction with leading veterinary institutions, and validated by the VLA, these filters offer an easy to use and much improved method of determining Worm Egg Counts (WEC) on Cattle, Sheep and Horses. They are single use devices for in vitro use only.

Floatation methods for WEC can require several Specific Gravity solutions to cover different parasites. The two common flotation methods, ‘Modified McMaster’ and ‘Improved Modified McMaster’, both use Saturated NaCl and are both catered for with Veterinary Parasep.

Key advantages you will notice are:

Cleaner, safer method - The enclosed filtration environment keeps user contact with harmful vapours and aerosols to a bare minimum.

No possibility of cross contamination - being single use and disposable prevents any possibility of sample carryover.

More accurate and consistent results - egg counts can be affected using traditional techniques, by unintentional inconsistent sample mixing.

No laborious, time consuming ‘clean up’ of sinks, shaker bottles and sieves - all the filtration mixing and shaking is performed inside the Veterinary Parasep tube.

Validated by the Veterinary Laboratories Agency for repeatable and accurate Worm Egg Counts with Ovine, Bovine and Equine faecal samples.

Proven to provide egg counts in line with traditional methods:

Independent testing by a leading Veterinary Laboratory found that Veterinary Parasep gave comparible Worm Egg Counts to both the Modified McMaster and the Improved Modified MacMaster techniques. This comparison was undertaken for Ovine, Bovine and Equine samples.

N65-1 Handheld Oximeter

WD0651This handheld quality oximeter, is a non-invasive spot-check measurement of O2 saturation (0-100%) and pulse rate (20-250bpm). It also displays a vertical bar graph amplitude indicator, pulse search indicator and low battery indicator.

The N65-1 takes 4 x AA Alkaline batteries giving approx 19 hours continual use. It captures patient data and prints via an infrared printer (optional accessory). and comes complete with ‘VETSTAT’ sensor.

ir Calibration ServicesWoodley Equipment Company prides itself on cost-effective solutions to ensuring your equipment is tested and calibrated to British Standards and/or manufacturers’ specifications using calibrated test equipment.

Upon completion of the work our engineers will provide a detailed service report package, including a full and detailed report and a certificate of calibration.

To ensure your equipment is regularly maintained, we will store all your surgery’s service details on our database and automatically generate and provide annual service reminders. We will also keep record of all your calibrations for your future reference.

If you would like a quotation for servicing, or calibration simply contact us with your medical servicing requirements, and we will then contact you with a competitive quotation.

Repairs and Breakdown SupportOccasionally equipment does fail and Woodley Equipment is here to support you when it does. Simply contact us and take advantage of our “Return to Base” Express Service. We can arrange to send you out a loan instrument the same day* and arrange the collection of your broken device.
