Shortly before our arrival into London we were roused for breakfast. Pretty yummy too!

The flight over the Pond was uneventful… like every flight should be. That said, if you’re gonna fly to the UK, we strongly recommend 1st Class.

THX again Cin-Chow!

Hello London!

Thru customs, baggage, and out to the Hoppa busses; we were back in ‘pack mule’ mode. Now to find the bus to the hotel.

The Hoppa Bus dropped us at the Ramada Jarvis Heathrow. Front door service.

Walking thru the doors revealed THE BAR! “Two cold ones, my good friend!”

Let’s find a pub!! Figuring we’d find a pub near the hotel, we just started waking. Half a mile down the road we found The Jolly Waggoners pub on the Waggoners Roundabout. Uh…not so much.

We walked back toward the hotel to see if there was anything in the other direction. Desperate for a cold one, we stopped into VII Restaurant across the street from the hotel.

Eh…not so much.

The gang at the hotel suggested that we head over to The White Hart. So we walked the half mile and, boy, there was a lot of fun had there on our first night and we made a bunch of new friends: Alison (the cat lady), Gary (the bartender from Edinburgh), and Mary (the funny blonde bar maid).

After laughing, joking, and drinking with them all evening our sides hurt! Reubie found Tennent’s to be about his speed, as for me Strongbow is even better fresh from the tap.

When Gary and Mary found out how much I liked Strongbow cider, they literally loaded me up with TONS of Strongbow SWAG they had left over from a Halloween promotion last fall.

Posters, buttons, a huge bar-mat, a glass, fangs, and wolfman wigs and gloves. Seriously! Wolfman wigs and gloves! Reub and I paraded around the pub wearing them for a big laugh.

Details of anything that happened later that evening are a little foggy…

We staggered back to the hotel, had dinner, and promptly crashed in bed for the night.

… and that is the story we are sticking with.
