Dear Parents, The Year 2 classes will be going on a field trip to support the learning in our current unit of inquiry, “How We Organize Ourselves”. The purpose of this field trip is to gain a better understanding of the systems in our community which help to produce, process and transport the goods we use. We will be visiting the UFM Baking and Cooking School to see the systems they use to produce baked goods. This trip needs to be carried out over two days as they cannot accommodate our numbers in one day. The trip will be divided in the following way: Monday 18th February: 2MR, 2BM and half of 2NR will have their fieldtrip. Thursday 21st February: 2LH, 2RJ and the other half of 2NR will have their fieldtrip. Ms. Nina will be sending further details to her class regarding the organization of their days. Parent Helpers: For the UFM Bakery Trip, we unfortunately do not need parent helpers. The space is small and the bakery has requested that we bring only students and teachers on this trip.

Transport:

The children will have their school snack early at 8.00am before departing on school mini buses at 8:30a.m and then return to school at 11:30a.m. Students will complete the rest of the school day as normal and they will be back in time for lunch. This will be the same for both days.
