UDK350 / UDK40X ON THE FLY LEAK TESTERS

DESCRIPTION

The UDK350/40X are on the fly pressure decay leak testers, specifically designed for the testing of plastic bottles. The UDK350 is a single head leak tester where the UDK400, 401, 402 are respectively 2, 3 and 4 head leak testers.

CONCEPT

Every bottle passes through a gate at the input and is triggered that causes the position to be logged. When that position reaches the head has been assigned to, the head synchronizes and the leak test starts. After the leak test the head goes up and the bottle is conveyed further on the conveyor.

Before exiting the machine each bottle is triggered again. Every bottle will be ejected, unless a positive test of a bottle is found in the position table at that position. This means that bottles that have not been tested, with an error, or in a wrong position will be rejected.

ADVANTAGES

The machine has a short change-over time. Only the height head has to be changed mechanically and all the other parameters can be loaded from recipes.

Thanks to the “on the fly” movement, the bottles are never stopped, no accumulation is happening and unstable products can easily be tested.

The modularity of the machine enables you to go to high speeds within the same product family. This reduces the cost of ownership in spare parts and training of the operators.

No bottle specific parts necessary for change-over unlike rotary machines.
