From the 110 freeway NORTHBOUND: Take exit 24 to merge onto N Hill St Turn left onto W College St 0.2 mi

Turn left onto N Spring St. Park will be immediately on the left.

From the 110 freeway SOUTHBOUND take exit 24C on the left to merge onto N Hill St toward Civic Center 0.4 mi.

Turn left onto W College St 0.2 mi Turn left onto N Spring St. Park will be immediately on the left.

From the 5 freeway SOUTH BOUND Merge onto the 110 freeway SOUTH (follow directions above)

From the 5 freeway NORTHBOUND Take exit 136B for Broadway. Turn left onto N Broadway. Continue onto N Spring St. Park willbe on the right.

THE COURSE: This 3.5km length course consists of a mix of tight turns and long straights mostly flat grass and hard pack dirt while

taking advantage of the natural elevation changes around the venue. There will be one cross over-under bridge, one long stairs section,

one double barrier section, a soft-sand dirt pit and one dirt whoops section.

THE VENUE: Los Angeles State Historic Park is located at 1245 N. Spring Street, Los Angeles CA, 90012. The park is open to the publ

from 8:00am to sunset, 7 days a week. A California State Park, LASHP also figures prominently in revitalization of the Los Angeles River

with a plan for native wetland habitat on the site and a future physical connection to the River. Coupled with efforts to connect with other

green spaces of urban Los Angeles through a series of bike paths and pedestrian walkways, LASHP is, as it has always been, a gateway

REGISTRATION:  Pre-registration for all categories is available online at: www.socalcross.org/registerand closes: Thursday,Dec 1st, 11:59PM (Pacific).  Race Day registration opens at 7:00am then 2 hours prior to each race category start and closes

20 minutes prior to each race start.

LICENSE:  A valid annual or one day USA Cycling license is required for all race participants. Annual USAC licenses

can be purchased online at: www.USACycling.org or at registration on race day. A 2012 license can be purchased

starting 12/1/2011 and valid through 12/31/2012. A One Day license is available with pre-registration or onrace day for $10. One Day licensed riders are eligible to race events open to CX Cat 4.

Race Day $50 $35 $35 *FREE FREE $5CYCLOCROSS RACING AGE: A rider’s racing age for the 2011-12 Cyclocross Season is the 'racing age' they’ll be the year of theUCI CX World Championships which take place in January 28-29, 2012. Your racing age for the entire cyclocross seasonrunning September 2011 through January 2012 is your age as of 12/31/2012.

RULES: Event held under USA Cycling Permit. All 2011 USA Cycling and CX rules apply. Event held rain or shine, no refunds.

Cyclocross and Mountain bikes (no bar ends) are best. Bike and wheel changes are allowed in the designated pit areas. Riders must

wear helmets when on the bike at all times. Riders shall stay on the course or existing trails. Please respect the venue and residents.

No feeds allowed on course except under discretion of the race officials. Sleeveless jersey/shirts are NOT allowed in USAC events.

Warming up on the Course Once the last rider has crossed the line in the current active wave, the officials will allow riders to

 “pre-ride” the course so they can become familiar with route. Please enter the course just past the finish line and do not pass or ent

in front of riders who are still racing on the course. As in the past, while pre-riding do not cross the finish line while the timing syste

is running and do not pass active racers on course. There will always be enough time to complete one lap before the next race start

Once the next race has started, warming up on the course is not allowed.

CATEGORIES: Categories: The event will include UCI elite men and women categories as well as amateur categories as part of the

SoCalCross Prestige Series and shall be organized in accordance with USAC and UCI regulations. USAC Senior (over 18 years of ag

in 2012) and Masters categories may be listed by ability as well as age. Ability categories are as follows. The Prestige Series

discourages sandbagging.

A USAC Road/CX Cat 1 and 2, MTB Cat 1/Expert and anyone else who chooses to race at this level.

B USAC Road/CX Cat 3 and 4, MTB Cat 2/Sport and anyone who chooses to race at this level.

C USAC Road 4 and 5, CX 4, MTB Cat 3/Beginner. New racers or those trying cyclocross for the first time.

RESULTS: Race results will be posted near the awards area immediately following each race. Please make sure to check your resulwithin the 15-minute posting/protest period or they will be final. Race and Series Standings posted at: www.SoCalCross.org
