EXECUTIVE MBA PROGRAM

Meet our graduates

Tyson Horrocks, TEMBA Who he is: Software Engineer Lead

What the EMBA program did for him: The EMBA program brought a deep business perspective to everything that I was already doing day to day. I appreciated picking up a broad range of new business knowledge while building collaboration and business problem-solving skills. The perspective I gained from the EMBA program fundamentally changed the way I look at business and my career and will continue to provide benefit for years to come.

ROI: I was able to negotiate software subcontract costs down by $17m partly due to skills I acquired during the MBA.

ROI: Strategy - learning to look at industries and companies. New product development - learning to take a design and bring that product to market. Marketing - learning the different aspects of the five forces and their effects on products and the market. Economics, accounting, and several more that give you an understanding of the underlying forces that shape our business culture.

EXECUTIVE MBA PROGRAM

Meet our graduates

Sarah Louise Smith, TEMBA Who she is: Executive Director

What the EMBA program did for her: The EMBA program gave me valuable tools and skills that I could immediately use to make my business thrive. Moreover, I developed the confidence necessary to make strategic decisions about our company’s future and substantive presentations in our Board Room.

ROI: After I graduated, I conducted a substantive review of our accounting practices and policies and developed a list of five action items that I took to our accountant. We agreed that we should implement each item and in doing so, we are now much more confident in our financial reporting and integrity.

EXECUTIVE MBA PROGRAM

Meet our graduates

Kenneth Coleman, TEMBA Who he is: Senior Vice President & Chief Information Officer

What the EMBA program did for him: It was a very fulfilling experience. It helped increase my depth of knowledge in a variety of topics. I now much more clearly understand strategy, business terms and analytical products. It gave me a good foundation to better initiate strategies than ever before.

ROI: Our marketing project presentation required our EMBA team to take a product from creation to distribution and challenged us to evaluate many aspects of running a business (marketing, sales, operations, finance, etc.). It gave us a chance to bond as small project team early into our EMBA work and really get to know the strengths and weaknesses of our team.
