Each year, the Gridiron Gala attracts nearly 1,000 guests and features current players and legends from the New York Giants and New York Jets, celebrity emcees, lively entertainment, and spectacular live and silent auctions. The event honors “Community Quarterbacks”—corporate leaders who’ve made outstanding contributions to the community—and two “Hometown Heroes”—one New York Giant and one New York Jet who each personify the NFL’s commitment to community service. The MVP Award goes to long-time supporters of the Gala who’ve made as big an impact philanthropically as they have professionally.

The Gala celebrates the United Way/NFL partnership, the most visible and longest-running sports/charity partnership of its kind. Since 1994, the Gala has raised more than $23 million in support of United Way of New York City’s initiatives benefiting vulnerable youth, including efforts to help high school students stay on track to graduate on time, ready for college or career.
