B ut befo re going in to a song add dance ab o u t the overpaid m edicine m an, le t's h a rd b ack to th e doc to r who took ou t h is little p rescrip tio n pad fo r the w rite r some tim e ago an d figured o u t th e h o u rs he had spen t on the job. A fte r m uch labo r (docto rs d o n 't keep close tabs on th e ir h o u rs ) he decided he ha<) speftt 90 h o u rs on the job th a t w eek, and i t w as ju s t a n average week.

W hat is m ore, th e doc said t h * fBoat o f his colleagues who w ere in th e sam e earn ing category was w orking about 90 hou rs a week. H e believed t u t he w orked ab o u t 90 h o u rs a w eek, giving a few hour* ' some w eek, tak ing a few others.

W ell, he gets $2.75 an h o u r, fo r a 36-hour w eek, at p re sen t ra tes.
