� You can use the library at Zattere if you wish – youcan get a day-pass by providing your details (best to bring your passport for ID)

� Wednesday: Art History + guided visit to Gallerie dell’Accademiadell’Accademia
� Thursday: Italy’s influence in Europe + work on yourpresentations

VENICE: VAPORETTO
� Your pass lasts for 7 days from the time you“activate” it
� You must carry it with you always!
� You can take all “ACTV” transport, to all locations in VeniceVenice
GETTING TO CLASS
� The easiest way is by walking (15 minutes).
� Alternatively, you can walk to Piazzale Roma (5 minutes) to take the vaporetto boat, line 5.1 from the Train Station water-bus stop “Piazzale Roma E” and take it all the way around to “San Basilio”.and take it all the way around to “San Basilio”.
VENICE: WHERE TO HAVE LUNCH
� There are two bars at the foot of the bridges at San Sebastiano and San Basilio
� At Zattere nearby San Basilio Vaporetto stop youmay find “Ae Oche” pizzeria and restaurant, or a small bar called “Chioschetto”small bar called “Chioschetto”
� At Campo Santa Margherita (10 minutes walk fromSan Sebastiano) you can find many different barsand restaurants.
VENICE: GENERAL ADVICE
� Download 2GIS for maps (much better thanGoogle!)
� Always take water with you as walking up and down bridges is tiring and it is hot!

� Price of a Gondola ride is around EUR 80
� Price of a taxi ride is EUR 60 for a short trip, butcan be up to EUR 160 if you want an hour long tour

� Cover your shoulders and tops of legs whenentering churches (some will have scarfs/shawls touse)
� Try the local cuisine and don’t just eat pizza!
