TYPES OF COMPUTER SYSTEMS

DESKTOP COMPUTER

A desktop computer is a screen which provides

graphics and sound, a keyboard and mouse are

connected to it. The base keeps all the internal

components safe, such as the motherboard, graphics

card, sound card, RAM and all the rest.

LAPTOP

A laptop is a portable computer, its components are

smaller so it is light and small. The laptop screen is

connected to the keyboard and there is a touch pad

as a mouse.

TABLET

A table is a touchscreen potable computer, one of the

most popular tablets is the ipad made by Apple. The

tablet allows you to go on the internet everything a

computer does but you can just touch it, there is no

mouse or touch pad.

HANDHELD COMPUTER

A handheld computer is like a mobile phone with a

computer, a handheld computer is used a lot in work

places.

PERSONAL DATA ASSISTANT

This is a handheld portable mobile phone. It keeps

data on it and is a personal planner, and is

touchscreen you have to use a special pen to tap on

the PDA with.

GAME CONSOLES

Games consoles are a computer system that shows

graphics on a screen and you use a handheld device

which sends signals to the console to move. Xbox,

PlayStation and Wii are all game consoles.

HANDHELD GAME CONSOLE

A hand held games console is the same as a game

console but is portable.
