Detroit Tigers

Detroit Tigers is one of the popular teams that play professionally in the Major League

Baseball. Detroit Tigers is under the American League and is one of the oldest franchises

with continuous one-name, one city. Its current home is in Detroit, Michigan where the team

is playing in Comerica Park as of 2000. The Tigers have won four World Series

championships and won the American League Penant 11 times. At present, Detroit Tigers is

managed by Dave Dombrowski who is serving as the team’s president and General

Manager.

round of MLB June Amateur Draft. Together with the other prospects, Tyler Collins is

currently being observed by the team. However, he is still a junior college student and he has

to sign a contract with the team for his dream to come true.

Although signing of contract may not happen this year, Tyler Collins is still hopeful that he

could someday become on the players of Detroit Tigers. He is actually getting great reviews

from baseball analysts and these may help speed up his ambition to play in the MLB.

hop. The genre began to surface in the music industry after the popularity of disco music

began to fade. African-Americans were the first to popularized R&B and they continue to

genre is the talented R&B singer and songwriter Tyler Collins.

Tyler Collins was born on October 29, 1965 in Harlem, New York. Her parents moved to

Detroit, Michigan and raised her here. It is in this place where she first encountered music

and arts when she enrolled in the Willow Opera Workshop where she was trained to sing,

dance, and perform theatre. In college, she majored musical theatre and child psychology at

the university of Maryland and Forham University. However, she dropped child psychology

so she could concentrate on her ambition to become a professional singer.

Tyler Collins’ first professional career in music was when she was taken as the lead vocalist

of the R&B group The Boy Next Door. She and the group were under Jermaine Jackson’s

music label Work Records. When the group’s music label halted, Tyler Collins went to

become a solo R&B artist. She was successful enough as a solo artist and was given the

opportunity by RCA Records. In this music label, she released her debut album Girls Nite

Out. Most of the songs she wrote personally while others were in collaboration with other

songwriters. The lead single “Whatcha Gonna Do?” was a major success, it peaked at

number 8 in Billboards R&B charts.

At present, Tyler is concentrating in producing songs for other music artist. Some of the

artists that she worked with included Celine Dion, Shanice Wilson, and Jeffrey Osborne.
