We, Jane & Martin Garnett have been running Wedding Creations now for 5 years and before we startedour company we both worked in hotels for 7 years so we have seen it all when it comes to weddings, thegood, the spectacular and the ugly. With all our experience we do have some words of advice for allbrides and grooms.

When it comes to dressing a room this is a perfect opportunity to addyour own personal touch, don’t be afraid to do things yourself anduse your own ideas and if you need to ask advice from professionals,whether it be your venue or your venue dressers don’t hesitate.

When choosing your colour scheme or theme be open mindedeverything doesn’t have to match the bridesmaid dresses, after allyou may have 60+ guests and only 2/3 bridesmaids don’t let thatdictate the overall look of the room, also don’t be afraid to mixcolours and or shades, when we got married we have silver andpurple as our colour scheme and we used the whole pallet of purpleswithin the table decorations, chair sashes, bridesmaid dresses,stationery and bouquets to create the look we wanted.

Sometimes less is more, the old cliché but it is true when it comes todressing a room especially when you have a strong colour scheme,think of how you want the room to look you can create an impactwith the chair sashes but then have subtle colours on your tableswith your centrepiece, name cards, favours, menu cards etc or viceversa have simple soft colours with your chair covers and sashes andcreate the impact on your tables with your centrepieces, namecards etc what you don’t want is too much colour dominating theroom. This is the reason we have a showroom so all our brides andgrooms can come down and try their ideas on our tables and chairsbefore your big day.

Some jobs are better left to the professionals, one of the reasons wedecided to set up Wedding Creations is when we were working inhotels we would see bride and grooms rushing around and stressingthe morning of their big day trying to fit chair covers that didn’t fitthe venues chairs and that weren’t ironed as they had ordered themover the internet. This is why we offer a service which takes all thehassle and stress away, we ensure that the chair covers fit thechairs, we lovingly wash dry and iron all our chair covers and wemake all the setup and collection arrangements with your venue soyou don’t have to worry about a thing.

Starting at the groom’s house, your wedding car will arrive one hour before thewedding to transport the groom, best man and guests to the church.

We then move on to the bride’s house and do likewise there. We will do as manytrips as possible in the allotted time at no extra cost. Weather permitting when

A Time To RememberThe most common thing we hear from happy couples at the end of their wedding day is, “It allhappened so quickly” followed by “There were so many people that we didn’t get to see.”

When we film a wedding we are aware that people want to see the movie as soon as possible, want to relivethe day and share it with their friends. But we are also aware of the long game, the value a wedding filmhas to the future: to your children – and to their children. And to the long line of unknown people who willbe able to reach back into their past in a way that we cannot.
