TYCHY – OUR TOWN

The schoolchildren at Gimnazjum nr 12 in Tychy decided to present

the town they live in by taking photos and describing the most interesting venues, facilities and

places.Here are the results.

PAPROCANY LAKE

That what you see is not a vast field. It’s our beautiful Paprocany lake. Now it is freezing cold in Poland, so the lake has got frozen. This way you can skate across the lake or just have a

walk to its other side. The lake is a habitat of birds and forest animals. It is surrounded by a magnificent wood where you can speed along numerous bike lanes. In the summer take a

blanket and get suntan at the lake shore. Enjoy!

Tychy is a modern town with multiple entertaining centres. One of them is a shopping area City Point. There is a 5-house cinema, designer shops, pubs, restaurants and even

a gym. You can come here at the weekend or just pop by to get relaxed and buy

something new.

In Tychy there is also a comfortable four-star hotel in the very centre of the town. Apart from hotels Tychy offers bed & breakfasts and motels for tourists being on their

way to the nearby mountains.

Here is one of the many roundabouts covered with snow.In summer and spring roundbouts are full of greens, flowering shrubs and flowers so Tychy seems to be a

city overflowing with positive energy.

Here's a winter stadium in Tychy.Here are held all sporting events (hockey games).

Here you can choose a weekend with friends or family skating.It is really the coooolest....:D place

to be.

Tychy is not only modern but also traditional with a tinge of history. In the photo

you can see a historic Maria Magdalena church beautifully lit up for Christmas.

And here is Baczyński Square. Sadly, you cannot admire its historic tenements full of architectural beauty. The Square is situated in an old part of Tychy and holds plenty of

charity events in summer time.

Yuhhuuu, you can slid this twisted tube down into a cutting-edge swimming pool. In the pool premises there is a Jacuzzi, a shallow pool for children to splash, tracks for fast and slow swimmers, a beauty spa and cafes for the hungry ones. You can’t get

bored here.
