One

At night. Beginning with a trunk shot. Or rather, a

refrigerator shot. Our main character, AVA, though

in her fifties here, is looking inside the

refrigerator, grabbing the milk. A couple of flies

are circling the cheese.

Two

A hand holding big rock is smashing it against a

glass window to a big and expensive house.

SFX

BAM!

Three

Ava is drinking the milk straight of the box,looking out with one eye and grabbing the phone

with the other hand.

Four

The burglar crawls through the broken window.

Five

Ava's holding the phone to her ear.

AVA

911?

AVA

I think there's someone in

my house!

Changing scenario. Small messy apartment. We're

looking over a half-filled glass of white white

with a fly on it at a younger AVA in her mid

twenties. She's sitting by the window, smoking a

cigarette.

SFX

RIIING! RIIING

Seven

Ava rushes to the door, knocking over the white

wine.

Eight

Standing in the hallway, looking at Ava has she's

jerked the door open, looking genially happy.

VOICE

I love you, honey.

Nine

It's the neighbor's boyfriend. The neighbor hugs

her boyfriend as the boyfriend gives a saddened Ava

a raised eyebrow .

PAGE TWO(seven panels)

One

With the pool of white wine in the center of the

panel, Ava walks towards it with a frown upside,

while grabbing a towel.

Two

While cleaning up the floor, Ava looks at theclock, which reads: 07:05. Under it is a calender,

the 29th is circled.

AVA

(shrugs)

Why not?

Three

Standing inside the closet, Ava is looking at a

bunch of empty coat hangers and a bin filled with

dirt clothes. She sighs.

AVA

Of course...

Four

Hallway. Ava, is business clothes is locking the

front door.

Five

Inside a small store. A middle-aged man, BRET is on

the phone. He spots Ava on the street, walking

towards the store's open door.

BRET

No. There's nothing to worry

about. I can handle it.

Six

Bret walks to the door.

BRETOf course, of course.

Seven

Bret is closing the door, shaking his head just as

Ava is about to enter.

AVA

I just want some smokes.

A bus driver is helping an old lady, MRS. HARPER,

on board the bus.

There you go, Mrs. Harper. You

haven't seen Ava today, have you?

Two

Ava is walking away from the store with her phone.

AVA

Hey, it's Ava. Have you gone

to work yet?

AVA

Guess so. No worries. I'll talk

VOICE

Excuse us!

AVA

Ow!

Three

Ava walks right into a baby carriage. The mother

and father glares at her.

MOTHER

Look what you've done!

FATHER

I think you should pay for that.

Four

The three looks down on one of the baby carriage's

wheels. It's broken.

AVAI'm so sorry! I didn't even

notice I did that.

FATHER

Yeah, because we've been pushing

a broken baby buggy for the past

half hour.

Five

A cute shot from the baby's POV. The parents look

furious at Ava as her phone rings. On the phone we

can see the name, TOM.

AVA

Look. I'd love to pay, but I'm

just an intern, I-I can't

SFX

RIING!

MOTHER

Don't you dare answer that and

ignore us.

Six

Ava answers the phone, holding her index finger

right at the mother face, which annoys the mother.

AVA

Could you just excuse me for

one sec.

AVAHello?

MOTHER

You smug little brat.

TOM'S VOICE

Hey, got your message, I'm coming

by your place in a a few minutes.

Seven

The mother grabs the phone, tossing right into the

ground and smashing it to bits, shocking both Ava

and the father.

AVA

You stupid bitch! I'm only like

ten years younger then you.

(eight panels)

One

The father is grabbing the mother by the arm,

pulling her away, who's furious as Ava. Ava is just

giving the finger back at the mother. A punker is

walking towards the three in the background.

MOTHER

ONLY?

FATHER

C'mon! You've embarrassed us

both now.

Two

The nerd walks by Ava. They both are looking at the

parents. Tons of flies a circling them.

NERD

Who were they?

AVA

Hey Kent. I have no idea.

AVA

I wanted to apologize for theloud music last night. My new

boyfriend is a bit wild.

NERD

Yeah whatever.

Three

A fancy car turns a corner, going towards Ava as

the nerd walks away, tossing a cigarette pack onthe ground.

AVA

But you don't have a cig?

NERD

The car stops right in front of Ava as she bends

down and look inside an empty pack.

VOICE

Five

Ava walks towards the car as Tom ogles her.

Ava

Ava's leaning towards the car door, all sexy and

TOM

You shouldn't smoke. It's a

Ava gets into the passenger seat while opening the

front compartment.

TOM

The car drives away. Ava lights a cigarette.

started yelling at me, accusing

me for breaking their baby buggy.

TOM

flies with a fly swatter as she passes his desk.

As Ava walks towards an open elevator, she turns

her head, looking at the guard who pulls up to cans

of fly spray from his desk.

Three

Inside a cubical with pictures of Ava and her

parents. A 30+ man, STEPHEN is looking at the

pictures. Ava is behind him.

AVAGood morning, Stephen.

STEPHEN

Good morning, you vixen blonde.

Four

Stephen turns around, looking at Ava.

STEPHEN

Lisa's putting you in the storageroom today.

AVA

Ava crashes into her chair.

STEPHEN

Such a selfish mind. Everyone

Ava lets her head falls into the table as Stephen

Ava is sitting in a small, badly lighted storage

room filled with tons of papers. On the desk in

front of her are stacks of papers.

Flies are flying around everywhere.

Break room. Two girls, BROOKE and MELANIE are

sitting with Stephen at table with a cup of coffee.

BROOKE

The way he was sucking up

to Mr. Cushing. Ugh, disgusting.

Melanie is looking at Stephen as Ava walks into the

break room.

Ava grabs a cup.

BROOKE

Ava is about to grab the coffee machine.

BROOKE

It's out of coffee, honey.

AVAOh, I see.

All the papers on the table are gone and Ava is

leaning her head on her hand, just staring at the

door as Stephen opens it and looks it.

STEPHEN

Lunch time, slave girl.

PAGE EIGHT

One

Ava is standing at the front of a long line in

half-filled, nice-looking restaurant with cash in

her hand. The cashier stares at just another

customer.

Ava holds up her credit card?

Ava puts off the apple and the orange juice, hands

the cashier the money.

Ava is walking into the restaurant. There are tons

of people sitting and eat.

walks towards it.

As Ava sits down, everyone around her stands up and

walks away.

Ava is back in the storage room and Stephen dumps a

huge stack of papers on the table.

STEPHEN

I'm sorry you'll have a lovely

time with these.

The papers are half done and Ava's working hard.

VOICE

It's Tom, (who else, right?)

I was just in the most boring

meeting. Something about a children's

book. Who cares, right?

Tom pulls Ava out of her chair and holds a firm

Tom walks out from the storage room. Ana is

saddened and upset with teary eyes.

TOM

Ana leaves. Stephen is a bit surprised.

Back the lobby. The guard is killing more flies

with his fly swatter from his desk.

GUARD

Where are all these flies coming

from?

Ana walks by the guard. Hundreds of flies are

following her, but the guard doesn't notice this at

all.

Five

The street. Ava looks over and spots a bus driving

way.

AVA

Of course!

TAXI!

A taxi drives up to her.

AVA

Mrs. Harper is sitting in the couch, watching TV as

the two walk into the living room.

On Mrs. Harper, looking particularly annoyed.

MRS. HARPER

Ava grabs the phone and dials a number as Mr.

Harper sits down.

lights up her apartment a little.

Two butterflies are fighting in the light.

Morning. Ava opens both her windows and thousands

of butterflies fly out.

Ava looks down on the street. Hundreds of people

are all looking at her. Ava is completely

surprised.
