Non communicable diseases including sthaulya and prameha are collectively responsible for increasing

morbidity and almost 70% of all deaths worldwide.

The management strategies from Modern medicine are falling short to combat the worldwide

epidemics of these two conditions.

The present National seminar is therefore an effort to discuss and deliberate on Ayurvedic approach to

understand, diagnose and manage sthaulya and prameha.

The approach of Ayurveda to manage any disease condition is multi-pronged and goes beyond only

drug treatment.

Hence, the seminar will have exclusive sessions on Panchakarma, diet and stress management.

It will also cover the state-of-art research carried out on these two diseases.

It is expected that the two days will be extremely helpful to PG scholars, clinicians and researchers.
