“ I have never given much thought to how I would die, but to die for someone I love seems a good way to go”. As Bella thought about how in a few hours she would be in forks with her father, Charlie, once again. She picked up all her bags and walked to the car trying to act like she was happy and fighting the tears.“This is not for long I promise Bells, just till we settle down then you can come back and live with me.” As bella’s mother and stepfather helped her with all her stuff and then they all got into the car headed for the airport.Already in Forks, Charlie and Bella drove to the house in a total awkward silence. They weren’t used to being around each other. But it seemed that this was going to have to change. The one thing that Bella loved about Charlie was that he never hovered and that they were so much alike.

As she woke up for school she made herself some breakfast and headed out early in order to study the school grounds so that maybe she would blend in a little and not like the new girl that was lost. Bella did not like to draw in attention.It was her first day at the new school in the middle of the semester. She studied her map and how to get to every class hoping that she would memorize it. As she walked down the hall a boy stopped her and immediately said:“Hey you’re Isabella Swan. I am Eric, nice to meet you.” He looked eager in meeting someone new.“Well its Bella and it is nice to meet you”. In her next class she met Mike and Jessica who were also very nice and welcoming. As she walked into the cafeteria Bell could easily notice Jessica waving her down to sit with her and the rest of the group. Bella walked slowly over to the table and Mike gave up his seat for her to sit down. As Bella picked at her food she couldn’t help but notice four students that walked in through the door.“Who are they?” As Bella asked Jessica.“They are the Cullen’s”. “Mr. Cullen adopted them and they moved hear from Alaska”. Bella couldn’t stop looking at them. They were almost perfect in every sense of the word. They were the definition of beauty. They walked perfectly and their features are perfect. “The blonde girl is Rosalie, the tall strong one is Emmett, and the short dark haired girl is Alice and the one holding her hand is Jasper. But one of them isn’t here but he shouldn’t be too far behind, he always sticks with his family.” After a long pause Jessica started talking again.“And the one coming in now is Edward Cullen”. He is the cutest boy in school but he thinks he is too good for any girl hear that’s why he never dates anyone”.Bella was mesmerized when Edward walked through the doors. She couldn’t keep her eyes off of him. He had the perfect hair, dark eyes, strong and a mysterious look.

It was the end of lunch period so Bella went to her next class. As she walked in her biology class she saw Edward Cullen looking straight at her. Mr. Molina gave her the book that she needed for the class and guided her to the only seat that was empty which was right next to Edward. For some reason Edward couldn’t keep his eyes off of her. As she sat down she put her books on the table and didn’t even dare to look at him. And then all of a sudden a deep voice but almost musical sounded in her ears. It was Edward.“Hi, my name is Edward Cullen and your name is Bella right”?“Uhh, yes Bella”.Mr. Molina started his class and gave everyone a lab to do in groups of two. So Edward took advantage and kept trying making conversation with Bella.“So are you enjoying the rain”?“Well no. I don’t like anything cold or wet. I actually hate the rain”.“Well than why did you move to one of the worst places in the U.S., it is always raining hear”?Bella was surprised he was talking to her so much based on how Jessica described him.“Well it’s complicated my mom remarried and she has to travel with my stepfather because he plays baseball. So I moved to Forks so she wouldn’t have to stay home taking care of me”.“So you’re unhappy now”? Edward asked with a curious look on his face.No not at all change is good, I guess”As the class went on Edward kept asking questions about Bella, he was so curious about her. It was like he wanted to know everything about her in the little time they had together in the class.

Unfortunately for Bella the day had come to an end. So Bella walked her way to her car and drove home. When she got there she cooked for Charlie and then after cleaning up she went up stairs. She thought all day about Edward Cullen trying to figure out the mystery behind his eyes.The next day Bella rushed to school wondering what she would say to Edward if he were to start conversation with her again. She went to her morning classes and did not see not one sign of Edward. She then gave up thinking that he just didn’t go to school so she went to the cafeteria on her lunch break with Jessica and as she walked in she spotted Edward sitting alone at a table, which was weird because he always sat with his family. Bella went to the salad bar pretending like she never even saw him and moments later she heard his voice again. It made her weak in her knees and she didn’t even know why.“Hi, Bella”! Edward said as he grabbed an apple and gave it to her.“Hi, Edward” Bella said nervouslyA long awkward silence swept through them, but finally Edward started talking again:“Would you like to hang out with me tomorrow”?“Well yeah why not. Where are we going”? Bella said “Well I want to take you to a special place that I know of, I would like for you to see it. Want me to pick you up at around 5pm at your house”?“Yeah that is fine”. Bella said“I guess I will see you tomorrow then”. As he turned around and walked toward where his family was sitting.

The day ended fast and before she knew it she was at home cooking for CharlieIt was morning again and Bella got up to do some cleaning around the house. When the clock hit 4Pm she started to get ready for her day out with Edward. As she hurried down the stairs she heard the horn of a car right in front of the house and she knew right away that it was him. She walked calmly out the door.“Hi.” Bella said“How are you today, Bells”? Edward asked. “I am great. So where are we going”?“Well it’s a surprise actually”Bella hated surprises but she didn’t want to ruin the moment so she kept quiet. The arrived the edge of the woods, Edward stopped the car and said:“From here we walk”.The walked slowly through the woods and minutes later arrived at a meadow with many different flowers. It was beautiful. Bella had never seen such a place. They sat down in the middle of the meadow and started talking.“well do you like it”?“I love it! I have never seen such a beautiful place”

All of a sudden out of the blue Edward froze in place and grabbed Bella by one arm and said:“Come on we have to go!” He looked beyond scared. Bella didn’t know what was going on but she had a bad feeling that it was not good at all. From behind the trees came out a man. With long hair and deep dark eyes. He lolled fierce and strong and he was walking right at them.“Well, well, well. What do we have here”?Edward just stared at him and he pulled Bella behind him to protect her.“Edward. What’s going on”? Bella said “Just be quiet don’t say a word.”As Edward held on to Bella the stranger said his first words:“Hi my name is James.”“What do you want?” Edward said in a fierce tone.“Well I smelt the stench of a human from some distance away. I can see that you brought yourself a snack. You know exactly what I want.”Bella kept still not knowing why this man was talking so weird. She was trying to figure out why he had said that he smelt the stench of a human. Finally Bella got so nervous that she couldn’t keep quiet anymore so she said:“What is going on here, Edward”?Then the stranger backed off a little and started laughing hysterically:“You have not told this poor girl what you really are, Edward?”That is when Bella felt a chill go up her spine. Edward just looked at her not knowing what to say. All of a sudden six more people came out of the woods but this time four of them were familiar faces. It was Edwards’s family. Bella was completely lost. She had no idea of what was happening. She felt a tug by Edward as he said:“Come on we have to go now”!

Bella didn’t ask questions they left and when they were some far of a distance away they heard a scream. As they approached Edwards car Bella couldnt keep her emotions in as she said:“Edward who was that, what is going on, where we are going….”Edward stayed quiet and after a while stopped the car and looked at Bella straight in her face.“Bella I have something to tell you. I am sorry you had to find out this way, it is just that I don’t have the strength to stay away from you and I was afraid that if you found out the truth you would be scared and you wouldn’t want to see me again.”“Edward, what are you talking about?“Bella I am not human, I am a vampire”Bella paused not knowing what to think or what to do. She was trying to put everything together in her head. But for some reason she was not afraid. She looked at him and said:“You would never hurt me. I can see it in your eyes. Edward I am here for you”Edward was surprised by her reaction.“Bella did you here me I am a vampire. I am a killer!”Bella seemed calm now. She finally understood the mystery behind Edward Cullen and his family. But for some reason she felt more protected than scared. Even though she now knew the truth behind all the mystery she was starting to feel something she never felt in all of her whole life. She was falling in love with a vampire.
