Through Youth To The World: Voices for Mission

World Mission Sunday is a reminder that we all share in the mission of Christ. We do this by supporting those who go places most in need of the love of Christ throughout the world. But maybe more importantly we share in the mission of Christ—our common mission—by living and acting in solidarity with those who are hurting, desperate, marginalized in our society and world. Remembering that we are all called by baptism and sent forth from each and every celebration of the Eucharist to give witness to the mission of Christ through our compassion and zeal for justice and mercy in our world. Very appropriately, the theme of World Mission Sunday this year is Through Youth to the World—Voices for Mission. The youth of our Church are not only our future, but present voices of hope for our world. Their joy, hope, passion, and courage lead us forth as disciples of Christ today. When James and John asked for special positions in God’s Kingdom, Jesus reminded them—and us—”whoever wishes to be great among you will be your servant; whoever wishes to be first among you will be the slave of all.” May our hearts reflect our mission as the Body of Christ to be faithful servants of God’s love.

Queridos Parroquianos,

Quisiera agradecerles a todos ustedes que participaron en el Estudio de Factibilidad. El total de 94 parroquianos llenaron el cuestionario el domingo pasado. La canasta estará en el santuario este fin de semana. Copias del cuestionario están disponibles cerca de los boletines a la entrada de la Iglesia.

Su participación en el estudio nos ofrecerá información para hacer una decisión sabia sobre nuestra capacidad de seguir adelante con la Campaña y en que nivel. Cualquier pensamiento o sugerencia que tengan son bienvenidos.

Feasibility Study

Dear Parishioners,

I want to thank you for your participation in the questionnaire for our Feasibility Study. A total of 94 parishioners completed the survey last week. The basket will remain in front of the altar this Sunday and copies of the survey will be available near the bulletins at the main entrance of the church.

Your participation in the study offers us valuable information to make a wise decision regarding our ability to proceed with a Capital Campaign and at what level. Any additional thoughts or suggestions that you might have are always welcome and appreciated.

We look forward to receiving in November a report with recommendations from Our Sunday Visitor (OSV), the Catholic non-profit organization working with us on the Feasibility Study. The report will be shared with the entire parish at that time.
