TEMPERANCE COMMITTEE

We, the temperance committee, recommend that we retain the suggestions from last year which were: (1} All parents be encouraged to censor literature being read by their

children and encourage more Bible reading and family devotion in the homes.

(2) Not only preachers and deacons but all members endeavor to keep themselves unspotted from the world, and to abstain from alcoholic beverages for at last it biteth like a serpant and stingeth I ike an adder. Prov. 23:32 .

(3) Christians use wisdom in selecting television programs and be careful to abstain from those which are ungodly.

(4) That we be reminded that smoking tobacco, and usmg it in other forms is harmful to the body and that it also hurts a Christian•s influence and testimony whenever he uses it.

(5) That the churches, and parents particularly, see to provide Christian fellowship and entertainment for their young people tn

order to keep them from drifting into ungodly amusements.
