Company History• Founded as “Sundaram Clayton” in 1962 in collaboration with
Clayton Dewandre Holdings, UK.• Manufactured brakes, exhausts, compressors and other
automobile parts.• 1978 – plant at Hosur, TN, to manufacture mopeds.• 1980 – introduced “TVS 50”• 1982 – technical collaboration with Suzuki, Japan and formed
“TVS-Suzuki”.• 1984 – commercial production of vehicles started.• 2011 – separated from Suzuki and renamed “TVS Motor”.
