Continuing Care Connection (CCC) Website
Tutorial for Users
Welcome to the new Continuing Care Connection
The Continuing Care Connection (CCC) replaces the Continuing Care Desktop (CCD) website. The new website continues to provide information on:
• Continuing Care Health Service Standards (CCHSS) education, resources, policies, compliance reporting, contact information
The CCC will provide users with:• Improved usability• Better search functionalities by topic• Mobile device functionality and access

RegistrationThe new CCC website can be accessed by existing users of the CCD and new users to the CCC.
Existing Users:• Account information will be transferred from CCD to the new
CCC• For proper set-up of the CCC, the existing user will need to
reactivate their account◦ Emails will be sent out to existing users. Until that email is
received, the existing user will not be able to logon to the CCC.
◦ The user will verify account information and make any changes as required
Note: new username will be your email, cannot be changed◦ Set a new password for their account◦ Will receive a confirmation email after the success of the
verification process◦ User will be directed to the login page to logon to the CCC
using updated credentials

RegistrationNew Users:• When first arriving at connection.ahs.ca, a new user will come
to a Login/Registration page
• New user must click on Register for the CCC, complete all mandatory fields, then submit their profile for approval◦ First Name Location◦ Last Name Occupation/Role◦ Email Supervisor Name/Phone Number/Email
• Will receive a confirmation email of the submission and that they are in the queue for approval
• Once approved, the new user will be notified via email
• New user will be able to logon to the CCC using their new credentials

Alberta Health Services (AHS) sites with Internet Explorer 8 users ONLY
AHS no longer supports Internet Explorer 8 (IE8). Some websites are being delivered in IE8 mode because of the browser settings. If you see any interface issues, follow the instructions below:• Open a browser
• Click on Tools in the top left of screen• Click on Compatibility View Settings• A new window will appear
• Uncheck the Display intranet sites in Compatibility View • Click Close• Refresh your browser or close browser and reopen for the changes
to take effect
