How to activate your iPhone on the Niagara College Blackberry Server
Turn on your iPhone (hold down the button on top of the iPhone)
Follow the screen shots below.
Choose “AirNC-Secure”.
Click “Accept”.
Click “Enable Location Services”.
Click “Set Up as New iPhone”.
If you have an Apple ID, click “Sign in with
your Apple ID” or create an Apple ID now.
Click “Agree”.
Download the BES 10 client from App Store\\
We recommend using iCloud.
iCloud can be used to back up your phone
data.
ITS recommends you turn this on.
Please click “Set up Later”. There are
instructions on how to do this at the end
of this document.
ITS recommends that you setup either a Passcode or the Touch ID. Click “Don’t Add Passcode”. You will set this up at the end of this document.
Click “Continue”.
Click “Use Siri”.
Click “Don’t Send”. This option uses your data plan to send information to Apple.
Click on the “App Store”.
Click “Not Now”.
Click “Search” and then type “bes 10”
and click “Search” on the bottom right
hand side of the screen.
Press the Cloud icon. The icon will
turn into a circle, and when it’s done
the word “OPEN” will appear. Press this
option.
Scroll down to the bottom of this page
and press “I Agree” on the screen.
On this screen, type in your
email address and select “Go”.
Type in the following:

Press “Go”.
Select “Accept”.
Type in the activation password

Select “Activate My Device”.
Select “OK”.
Select “Install”.
Select “Install Now”.
Select “Install”.
Select “Done”.
When the activation is complete,
this screen will appear.
Press the home button
(circle on the bottom of your phone).
Select “Dismiss”.
***Select the mail icon on the bottom of
the screen.***
Enter in your computer password
(now the same as your email password),
then press “OK”.
Your mail will start to populate on the
screen.
Press the home button, scroll to the left,
select the Settings icon.
This window will appear. Select “General”
until you see the screen on the next page.
Scroll down until you see
Mail, Contacts, Calendars and
select that option.
Select “EAS (Exchange)”
Select “Mail Days to Sync”.
Change the default option “No Limit” to
something else.
Press the Home button.
On the home screen, select “App Store”.
Type in “bbm” and select
“bbm for iphone”.
Press the cloud icon. You will be asked
for your Apple ID password.
Press the home button.
The application listed as “Loading” is BBM.
When it’s complete, the icon shows “BBM”.
Open this application.
Select “OK”.
Use your Blackberry ID to sign in.
Select “Switch BBM”.
Select “OK”.
Your BBM pin will appear on the next
screen. Follow the prompts on the screen.

Press the home button, scroll left and select Settings. Find the option “Touch ID and Passcode”.
***If you have an iPhone 4s, you will not have the option called Touch ID. It’s called “Passcode Lock”.***
You have the option of setting up
Touch ID which uses your fingerprint to
unlock your phone or you can use a
Passcode.
ITS requires that you lock your phone.
