Slab 20 Honed

Silver Royale is limestone and does not have the cavities of travertine. Silver Royale pavers with sandblast finish have low slip risk and still smooth to walk on with bare foot. They have much higher compression strength than the travertine pavers and they are salt resistant. Silver Royale also react with acid less and slowly comparing to travertine. Our new limestone pavers provide stunning alternatives to the design of courtyards, patios, pools or fashionable outdoor rooms.

Majority of our travertine pavers & limestone have been tested against

� salt as per AS/NZS 4456 / 2003.

All our travertine pavers have been tested for

� slip resistance as per AS 4586 /1999 tumbled travertine : “W” slip resistance - low risk when wet

sandblasted : “V” slip resistance - very low

GUIDELINES FOR LAYING TRAVERTINE PAVERS

We recommend our pavers to be laid and grouted by a licensed paviour

Travertine pavers can be laid on a compacted ROAD-BASE sub base or on SCREED BED.1

Installation on ROAD-BASE sub base

Recommended road-base sub base thickness : 75 - 100 mm Recommended coarse paving sand thickness : 20 - 40 mm Recommended gap between pavers : 3 - 4 mm We recommend applying water repellent penetrating sealant to the pavers before filling the gaps (Pavers can be pre-sealed if wanted) After joints are filled with dried material, the pavement is ready to receive foot traffic.

Installation on SCREED BED

Recommended screed bed thickness over concrete slab : 20+ mm Recommended cement to sand mix in screed : 1 to 4

• Sprinkle cement dust over screed bed. • Wet cement dust (sponge or a watering can with fine sprinkle head can be used) • Place the pavers. No need to wet or seal the back of the pavers. • Tamp the pavers by using rubber mallet. • Use expansion joints (10-15mm) every 4 - 5m. Expansion joints need to be incorporated over

existing expansion joints, around corners, next to fixed walls etc. • Allow paving and bed to dry out before grouting. • We recommend applying water repellent seal to the pavers before grouting. (Sealing can be done

before laying if wanted) • Grout the pavers. If wet grout is used sponge off grout from pavers’ surface immediately.

Grouting

If required the surface of pavers can be filled with grout. Recommend to use washed beach sand and off-white cement Recommended cement to sand mix in grout : 1 to 3

• If required, after grout hardened, light acid wash can be used. Allow acid to sit for 5 minutes but not to dry. Rinse off with pressure wash. Testing it in an inconspicuous area first is recommended. Recommended dilution rate Phosphoric acid to warm water: 1 to 15

• Allow paving and grout to dry out completely then apply a final coat of penetrating sealant. sealer. • After sealing the pavement is ready to receive foot traffic.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Penetrating sealant will make the maintenance and cleaning easier. Depending on the type of stain there are different stone cleaning products available on the market. Note always check with sealer manufacturer when using sealers on and around swimming pools.

Warehousing

Our address : Unit 1, 68-72 Asquith St, Silverwater NSW 2128 Hours for pickups : 8:30 – 16:00 weekdays We aim to pack orders within 24 hours if possible. A Marble Matters job number is always required to pick up an order. This should be given to the truck driver by the purchaser. We can also arrange deliveries if required.

Storage policy We can store fully paid orders for a maximum of two weeks, free of charge. After this a storage fee of $10.00 + GST per pallet per week will be charged.

Reservations Stock may only be reserved for 5 days without confirmation or deposit. If we receive another inquiry during that period we will advise our customers so that the stock may be sold to the first confirmed order received.

Sampling Limited number of samples may be supplied free of charge. Other samples are charged at 50% discount at our discretion. Full size samples charged at our discretion.

Conditions of Sales

1. GOVERNING LAW OF THE CONTRACT 1.1 The Contract shall be governed by the laws of the State of New South Wales and the parties hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State. 1.2 The client may accept the Contract by signing and returning a copy of this document or by oral acceptance. 1.3 Upon acceptance of the Contract, the Contract shall apply to all transactions as between Marble Matters and the client on an ongoing basis and shall not be taken to apply to a single order, quote, invoice, transaction, debt or other. 1.4 The validity of this contract shall not be effected by the approval or non-approval in writing of any application for credit completed and submitted by the client to Marble Matters. 2. INTERPRETATION 2.1 Except where the context otherwise requires: Application for credit

means the form titled “Marble Matters Application for Credit” including these terms and conditions and Deed of Guarantee & Indemnity;

clause

means a clause of these conditions of sale; client

means the party specified in these conditions of sale or quote issued by Marble Matters as the purchaser of materials, its officers, employees, agents, nominees and carriers;

contract

means these conditions of sale, any expressly agreed variation in writing of these conditions of sale and any order of materials accepted as such by Marble Matters;

contract price

means the monetary consideration stated in these conditions of sale or quote issued by Marble Matters whether expressed as a lump sum or price per unit or by weight or volume or otherwise;

Marble Matters

means the Turkiwi Enterprises Pty Ltd ACN 101 995 313 trading as Marble Matters, its officers, employees, agents, nominees and carriers;

materials

means the goods, the subject of these conditions of sale or such of them as shall be described in any quote issued by Marble Matters and/or any order of materials placed by the client;

order

means the client’s order for materials whether verbal or in writing and accepted by Marble Matters;

payment claim

means the any tax invoice issued by Marble Matters to the client whether or not issued in accordance with clause 6.2;

quote

means any quote issued by Marble Matters in respect of an order accepted from the client by Marble Matters;

receipt of goods

means the receipt, document or otherwise containing the client’s signature and acknowledgement of receipt of delivery of materials ordered by it;

2.2 A waiver by Marble Matters in respect of any breach of a condition or clause of these conditions of sale will not be deemed to be a waiver in respect of any other or of any subsequent breach. 3. CLIENT ACKNOWLEDGMENTS 3.1 The client acknowledges that: (a) variations in size (all dimensions) colour, shade, pitting, fissures, cracks and veining of fired clay, marble, granite and other natural stones are inherent in their characteristics as natural stone materials; (b) exposure of fired clay, marble, granite and other natural stones to chemicals contained in cleaning agents, abrasives or other chemical compounds may cause permanent damage to the appearance or density of fired clay, marble, granite and other natural stones; (c) by reason of their characteristics, the materials require installation by persons possessing the necessary license, know-how and experience to ensure that the materials are not damaged during installation. The client further acknowledges that materials may require “blending” and persons engaged in accordance with this clause should be familiar and experienced in this practice. (d) orders placed by the client may require materials to be sourced from international suppliers and accordingly, Marble Matters is unable to provide accurate shipping times. Any shipping times provided by Marble Matters are estimates only and cannot be guaranteed by Marble Matters;

(e) any application for credit must be approved by Marble matters in writing. For the avoidance of doubt, completing and submitting the application for credit to Marble matters will not in itself entitle the client to purchase materials on credit. 3.2 The client warrants that it will not make a claim in respect of any of the acknowledgements contained in clause 3.1. 4. QUOTE, SUPPLY & DELIVERY OF MATERIALS 4.1 Marble Matters will endeavour to supply materials in accordance with any quote issued by Marble Matters to the client. 4.2 Any quote issued by Marble Matters shall only be available for acceptance by the client for a period of 30 days after the date it is issued. 4.3 The client can only accept the quote by paying the deposit specified in the quote and confirming its acceptance in writing. 4.4 Where any quote issued by Marble Matters makes reference to: (a) Variable quantities – the client shall only be required to purchase such of the materials as are specified in any order placed by the client. (b) Fixed minimum quantities – the client shall be required to purchase such fixed minimum quantity as agreed. (c) Small quantities – the client will be charged $33.00 (inclusive of GST) for any order of a particular material which is less than 5m2. 4.5 The client will pay the cost of delivery as quoted by Marble Matters. 4.6 The cost of delivery quoted by Marble Matters shall be the cost payable by the client for each attempted delivery. 4.7 The client must provide proper access to the specified delivery site. 4.8 Marble Matters shall not be required to wait for longer than 30 minutes to gain access to the delivery site. 4.9 Where the client requests for the delivery to be made to a delivery site at which the client is absent, delivery will be deemed to have been made by leaving the goods at the site with a delivery docket, at which point, the client shall become responsible for the goods. 4.10 Where delivery is affected in accordance with clause 4.9, the client waives its rights under clause 4.10 and 4.11. 4.11 Upon receiving delivery of materials, the client warrants that it will only sign a receipt of goods upon satisfying itself that the delivered materials are correct in description and quantity and are not damaged. 4.12 By reason of the characteristics of the materials as are acknowledged by the client in clause 3: (a) the description of any materials contained in any quote issued by Marble Matters is given solely for identifying the specific materials that are the subject of these conditions of sale and does not constitute a sale by description. (b) where Marble Matters has not provided a sample or specified any standards, materials supplied shall be suitable for their purpose only. (c) Marble Matters will only consider claims for replacement of materials where such a claim is made in writing by the client to Marble Matters within 7 days of receiving delivery of the materials and any variation is deemed not to be minor by Marble Matters. (d) Consideration of any claim for replacement referred to in clause 4.11(c) shall be at the sole discretion of Marble Matters. 5. CANCELLATIONS & REPLACEMENTS 5.1 Where an order is placed by the client, the order may only be cancelled within 7 days of the date of the order. 5.2 Where materials are found not to be fit for their intended purpose, Marble Matters will replace the materials. For the avoidance of doubt, materials that are crazed or damaged in the course of being installed or applied by persons who are not licensed stone fixers, will not be considered to be unfit for their purpose. 6. FEES, CHARGES & ALLOWANCES 6.1 The client must pay to Marble Matters the fees, charges, any allowances and GST that are contained in any tax invoice issued by Marble Matters. 6.2 Where Marble Matters, at its sole discretion, accepts the return of any materials or part of the materials, the client will pay a handling fee calculated as 20% of the Marble Matters retail value of the materials returned. 6.3 Marble Matters may issue tax invoices as payment claims in accordance with the Building & Construction Industry Security of Payment Act 1999 (NSW) as varied or amended from time to time. 6.4 Time for payment of any tax invoice issued by Marble Matters shall be of the essence. 6.5 Unless the client has completed and Marble Matters has approved the client’s Application for Credit, payment of any tax invoice issued by Marble Matters shall be made upon delivery of the materials to the client, otherwise payment of any tax invoice issued by Marble Matters shall be due thirty (30) days from the date of the tax invoice. 6.6 Marble Matters will charge interest at the rate of 7% from the due date of payment where the payment is outstanding for more than 10 days. 6.7 Payment made by an approved credit card will incur an administration fee of 1.35% plus GST

7. INDEMNITIES 7.1 To the extent permitted by law, the liability of Marble Matters in respect of the quality, standard or specification of materials is limited to the replacement of the materials supplied only and Marble Matters shall not be liable for any loss or damage incurred by the client whether caused by defect in the materials or otherwise. 7.2 The client shall indemnify and keep indemnified Marble Matters against all loss of or damage to the materials and from or against any claim, demand, action, suit or proceeding that may be made or brought by any person against Marble Matters its employees, professional consultants or agents or any of them in respect of personal injury to or the death of any person whomsoever or loss of or damage to any property whatsoever arising out of or as a consequence of the sale or delivery of the materials by or to the client or its employees, agents or subcontractors and also from any costs and expenses that may be incurred in connection with any such claim, demand, action, suit or proceeding. 7.3 The client shall indemnify and keep indemnified Marble Matters against all loss of or damage to the materials and from or against any claim, demand, action, suit or proceeding that may be made or brought by any person against Marble Matters its employees, professional consultants or agents or any of them in respect of damage caused to the materials during the installation of the materials. 7.4 The client shall indemnify and keep indemnified Marble Matters against all loss of or damage to the materials and from or against any claim, demand, action, suit or proceeding that may be made or brought by any person against Marble Matters its employees, professional consultants or agents or any of them in respect of the materials post installation. 8. TITLE 8.1 It is the intention of Marble Matters and the client that ownership of any materials shall not pass until the client has paid all amounts owing for the particular materials or any other materials supplied by Marble Matters from time to time and the client has met all other obligations contained in this contract. 8.2 Receipt by Marble Matters of any form of payment other than cash shall not be deemed to be payment until that payment has been honoured, cleared or recognised and until then Marble Matters’ ownership or rights in respect of the materials shall continue. 9. ENTIRE AGREEMENT AND VARIATION 9.1 The contract constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes all communications, negotiations, arrangements and agreements, either oral or written, between the parties prior to these conditions of sale. 9.2 No agreement or understanding varying or extending these conditions of sale, will be legally binding upon either party unless in writing. 9.3 If any provision or part thereof of this agreement is or becomes unenforceable, illegal or invalid for any reason, this agreement will remain in full force apart from such provision or part thereof which will be deemed deleted. For the avoidance of doubt, if only part of a provision is or becomes unenforceable, illegal or invalid for any reason, the balance of that provision will remain in full force. 10. NOTICES 10.1 Any notice, request or other communication to be given or served in accordance with the contract is to be in writing and addressed, as the case may be, as follows: (a) given to the client, addressed and forwarded to the client’s representative at an address provided by the client or as otherwise notified by the client’s representative or the client. (b) if given by the client, signed by the client’s representative and forwarded to Marble Matters at the address notified by Marble Matters. 10.2 Any such notice, request or other communication may be delivered by hand or sent by prepaid post, facsimile, email or telex to the address of the party to which it is sent and is to be taken to have been given when it is received by the party to whom it addressed or is delivered to the last known address of the party to which it is sent.
