Burdur It is small but very nice city. It has

got beautiful places.

İnsuyu Cavern

Burdur İnsuyu Cavern which is on the

Burdur-Antalya Highway and 13 km far away from Burdur is one of the first caverns which was used for the tourism purpose in our country. When it was started to use for tourism purposes by the year 1965; there were 9 lakes and flow between these lakes in these galleries.

Burdur Lake

• The lake which is located in a closed basin hos no flowout. The water of the lake is quite salty and it is one of the deepest lakes of our country. The depth reaches to the level of 100 metres in some part.

Sagalassos

• Sagalassos which was no doubt the most important city of the Psidia region during Roman Empire is at the 7 km north of the Ağlasun County.

• Most of the buildings found in the city are of the Roman Period. The excavation works have been continued since 1989. Its theatre, library, temple, public bath and fount are explored.

Ulu Mosque

• It is on a high hill in the Bazaar plain in Bazaar Quarter. According to the Foundation it had been built by Hamitoğlu Dündar Bey.

Clock Tower

• It is located in the Pazar Ouarter of the Burdur city centre. It has been built in 1936. It is at the 10 metres north of the Ulu Mosque. It has been constructed by hewn stones. It has a square plan.

Burdur Museum

• The Burdur Museum has been founded by the year 1956. It has been enlarged and re-arranged by the year 2001. It is one of the most important and rich museums of Turkey.

Bakibey House

• It is located in the Burdur central Değirmenler Quarter Divanbaba Street. It is one of the most beautiful examples of the 17th century Ottoman civil architecture.

Taşoda (Stone Room)

• It is located in the Burdur central Pazar Quarter. It is an example of Ottoman civil architecture of the 17th century. It had been founded by Emin Beg from the Kınalı Tribe.

Teke (Goat) Zortlatması

• Our folk dances reflect human-nature relations and teke zortlatması expresses the behaviors of goats

Serenler Zeybeği

It is a deduction zeybek and played with a time of 9/8 during singing players stops dancing and after that the play starts.

Sister-in-law Kezban

• It is playedby woman by stooping on the foot base and then rising on the toe from begginning to the end in a very fast fashion.
