The attendees included the renown scholar Dr Richard Leakey, local leaders, local investors, trade community, govt officials and professionals.

A series of issues were discussed in order to boost local economy

Need for good investment climate was emphasized. Turkana county will be an Investor friendly region. All border towns be opened to accelerate trade. Improvement of roads, kitale – lodwar road be

retarmacked. Opening of Nadapal town as free market port to

serve South Sudan. Creating water dams for irrigations and light

industries.
