    Upcoming

    Matches:

Words cannot express how proud of this team Iam with their resilience and performances over the

last two weekends. We knew when the Conferenceschedule came out that these two back-to-back

road weekends would be pivotal and difficult. What we did not know was what we were going to

have to endure with flight delays, flightcancellations, road construction and even a poweroutage.

What we also did not know was the amazing wayour kids (although frustrated and stressed) wouldbe able to shake all that off and come home with a2-1-1 record over the past two weeks. The resultshave put us in the middle of the pack forConference USA standings and with a 3 gamehome stand coming up, we are excited about our

    future.

    Alumni Tailgate

There is truly No Place Like Home and we are

thrilled to be the Kick-Off to homecoming with our6pm game tonight against Memphis. It should be an

electric atmosphere, as we only trail the 5XConference Champion by 4pts in the standings. Ahome sweep could propel our program into the top 5of conference USA.

I have told our team since day 1 of pre-season that thisis truly a special group and I believe that more today

than ever before. I think we are on the verge ofsomething special within our womens soccer program

and tonight will be another step to our ultimate goal of

making and winning The Conference USAChampionship!

I hope to see everyone at Homecoming this weekendand Thank You all for supporting Tulsa Womens

I feel so thankful to have been introduced to the amazing TU

soccer community. It is truly remarkable. I reported topreseason for my freshman year not knowing anyone or what I

was really getting myself into. I remember receiving a training

schedule right before I graduated high school and did not really

understand its implications. Im supposed to do what? What

is the yo-yo test? Can it kill me? I thought there was a strong

possibility that it could. How can you ever be truly prepared

for preseason in Tulsa in August? I still have nightmares to

this day. I will wake up in the middle of the night in a state of

fear that I did not pass the Manchester United test and that I

will have to run it again at 6 am on Skelly.

Almost immediately upon moving into the dorms, I developed

an amazing bond with the 11 other freshmen who were going through the exact same thing. I have

never felt so close to a group of people in all my life. They knew everything about me and we did

everything together. During the large part of our freshman year, we literally traveled in a pack of

    12. Looking back, we probably looked a bit ridiculous, but at the time, we could care less. We were a

team. We begged people to ask us to perform our freshman dance. Those memories you can neverforget. Now, even though we have all spread out across the country, when we get together, even if it is

just a few of us, it is like time has not passed and we are back in the dorms at LaFortune.

Being a college athlete at such an excellent school as Tulsa was an opportunity of a lifetime. The life

lessons that I learned while playing for those four years will remain with me always. It taught me hard

work, perseverance, and determination. After undergrad, I went to law school at the University of

Kansas. People are not lying when they say law school is demanding. However, my time at TU more

than prepared me for what lay ahead. I actually had some free time! After law school, I moved to

Denver and took the Colorado bar. I am now a practicing attorney specializing in complex civil

litigation. I promise it is not as boring as it sounds! I still play soccer on a weekly basis on an 11 v. 11

co-ed team at Dicks Sporting Goods Park (where the Rapids play), but it just is not the same as

wearing that TU jersey. However, since my competitive soccer career is over, my biggest passion is

skiing, which I get to do on a weekly basis during the months of November April. Life moves on and

time flies by, but I will always remember my days at Tulsa as some of the best of my life!
