Instructors:Michael Nicholson, Michael Nicholson, as an orchestral and chamber musician, has enjoyed performances throughout the United States and Italy. He is Violinist and founding member of the Tulsa Rock Quartet. Michael also performs as Principal Second Violin for Tulsa Symphony, Associate Principal Second Violin for Tulsa Opera, and plays with the Symphony of Northwest Arkansas.

Karen Naifeh Harmon is the New Music Chair of Living Arts in Tulsa and a Nationally Certified Teacher of Violin. She is also an instructor for the Honors Youth Orchestra and is currently working on a Certificate in Composition and Arranging through the Berklee College of Music.

Ronnamarie Jensen has done extensive studio work for vari-ous bands and recording artists. She is now a member of the Tulsa Opera Orchestra, and has served as its Acting Associ-ate Concertmaster. She is also currently serving as Associate Concertmaster of the Tulsa Symphony and Concertmaster of the Tulsa Ballet Orchestra.

Kathy Rad is Education Director and Cellist with the Tulsa Symphony and Tulsa Rock Quartet – Oklahoma Arts Coun-cil Performing Artists. She directs the “Roger’s Ropers” Orchestra and TCC Cello Choir. Kathy has performed live on NPR, recorded on the Universal label, is listed as “Who’s Who in the World”. She received the US Army Superior Ci-vilian Service Award, and Music Education Awards from the

Grand Lake National Fiddle Fest and Arts and Humanities Council of Tulsa.

Guest Clinicians:Jana Jae and her trademark blue fiddle took the world of coun-try music by storm. She got her big break at a Buck Owens con-cert in Redding, CA, when she was invited to take the stage and play “Orange Blossom Special.” Buck offered her a job as the first female member of his “Buckaroos” band. She later be-came part of the regular team of performers on the “Hee Haw” show and has appeared with such country music greats as Chet Atkins, Roy Clark, Ray Stevens, The Oakridge Boys, Mel Tillis, Ricky Skaggs and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.

Jessica Elkhatib, In addition to her active performance career, is a string specialist for the Greenwich, CT Public Schools. She teaches violin, viola, acoustic and electric cello, double bass, and arranging in her school and her private studio. Currently, she has formed a Rock Cello Ensemble with her private stu-dents in Westchester County, NY and Greenwich, CT called “The Fifth String”.

Jim Bates plays with the Tulsa Symphony, Signature Symphony and is a “Master Jazz Bassist”. He played almost nightly on the regional Sam Jones television broadcast as a member of the Sonny Gray Trio. He teaches both guitar and bass at the Uni-versity of Tulsa and Oral Roberts University. Jim has recorded with local Western swing outfit the Tractors and also has a long standing playing relationship with Tommy Crook, an extreme-ly honest guitarist.

Amy Cottingham performs regularly with the Signature Sym-phony and the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra. She has been invited to give solo recitals for the Brown Bag It series at the Perform-ing Arts Center, the Music at the Mansion Series. Amy has also been featured at the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame numer-ous times as a solo performer with her own show and as a guest on the Annual Keyboard Concert.
