Wait a minute!What's Buzau???
Buzau is our region (county). Its geographical position provides perfect environment for:
Wineyards (in the lower hills)
Orchards (in the upper hills)
So, one of the most important products from the orchards is TUICA (you can
pronounce TZUICA - the Plum Brandy)
CHARACTERISTICS: Around 28-32 degrees of alcohol Made only by plums (any other option – apples,
pears, apricots etc.- is considered lower quality) Distiled just once (in other regions, they distiled it
two times to get a higher content of alcohol) Kept at least two years in wooden casks (oak,
mulberry tree, acacia)
How it's made?A simple distillation process.

Some studies says that, in small quantities (cca. 30 ml/day)
Stimulates the heart, the stomach and the bile Contains 6 substances that feed the red cells The plums (that the Tuica is made from)
