Masons To Attend Instruction Meet Officers of the nine lodges In the 14th Masonic District are expected to attend a school at Palmyra Lodge hall tonight at 7:30. J. F. Lynch, Erwin postmaster and district deplty grand master, said the group will have a Dutch dinner at the Dunn Shrine Club Doom at 6 p. m., and a social meeting will precede the session at the lodge, hall. Monday, March 5 Erwin Social Happenings Dean Turlington Has Birthday Party Dean Turlington celebrated her 15th birthday with a party at her home Thursday evening from 7:30 until 11 o’clock. The Turlington home was very beautifully decorated and the only illumination was from candle light. When the guests arrived, Dean invited them irito the living room where they played games and en- joyed dancing, and Dean opened her many pretty gifts. In the letter part of the evening, Mrs. Peyton Odom invited everyone into the dining room for refresh- ments. The table was covered with a beautiful imported lace cloth and centered with the pretty pink, green and white birthday cake topped with 15 lighter candles. Pink candles in crystal holders were used on each end of The table. The guest list included Betty Ann Julian, Gail Byrd, Peggy Warren, Patricia Warren, Patricia Whitmore, Carol Beth Mclean, Virginia Smith, Jerry Matthews, Betty Hope Byrd, Betty Lou Gray, Rilla Mae Byrd, Dorothy Norris, Tommy Satterfield, Lexie Tyndall, Billy Quick, Gilbert Smith, Ray Hare, Bobby Bullard, J. Game Tourney Is Scheduled Bingo, bridge, canasta and set- back will be provided Thursday night when the Game Tournament opens at the Community Building in Lillington. Purpose of the tournament is ta raise money to pay off the indebt- edness on the building. The games committee has arrang- ed for bingo and other games for the children to be played in the recreation room, where refreshments will be served later. Starting time for the tournament is 7:30 p. m. The assembly room will be used for bridge, canasta, setback and refreshments for adults.
