The federal Charter School Program (CSP) is the only funding in the federal budget that is dedicated to seeding new charter public schools. Even though the program has bipartisan support, we have to fight for every dollar, every year.

Last year, Congress put $333 million dollars in the fund—that’s a good start. This year – because there are two million parents who want to send their children to charter schools, but are unable to do so be-cause there aren’t enough seats to go around – we are asking Congress to increase CSP funding to $500 million.

Right now, members of Congress are deciding how much money to put toward the Charter Schools Pro-gram for the next year. Can you take two minutes to contact your members of Congress today to ask them to open the doors for more students?
