Egyptian MarbleThe Egyptian marble and granite were used historically in Egypt. During the Age of AncientEgyptians, the granite was extracted from Upper Egypt and used in theconstruction ofbuildingsas well as temples. In addition, other cultures learnt from theEgyptian methods of extracting3rd century B.C. Moreover, when theRomansand cutting stones like the Ancient Romans in.tookthe knowhow of quarrying from Egypt, they transferred it to other places including ItalyItaly acquired the knowhow from theRomans and concentrated on developing the industry.There are several kinds of natural stoneinEgypt including marble, granite, alabaster, slate,

crystalline limestone, and other ornamental stones. Most of the marble types inEgypt have thebeige color and its light and dark shades.Egypt is known for the beige colored marble all over theworld including: Galala, Rosa Cream, Sunny, Imperial Honey, and Silvia.The beige color is oneof the most practical colors of marble globally for flooring and cladding indoors as well asoutdoors.Over the centuries marblehas become synonymous with tradition and culture,capturing the essence of old-world charm. Mosaic is the art of creating images with an assemblage of small pieces of colored stone. It is a

technique of decorative art or interior decoration.Most mosaics are made of small, flat, roughly

square, pieces of stone of different colors, known as tesserae; but some, especially floor mosaics,

may also be made of small rounded pieces of stone, and called "pebble mosaics”.Mosaic has a

long history, starting in Mesopotamia in the 3rd millennium BC. Pebble mosaics were made in

Tiryns in Mycenaean Greece; mosaics with patterns and pictures became widespread in classical

times, both in Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome. Early Christian basilicas from the 4th century

onwards were decorated with wall and ceiling mosaics.Mosaic was widely used on religious

Marble, limestone, alabaster, slate, basalt,and granite are found in Egypt having diverse features and qualities.The marble and granite deposits are extracted from quarries which are located in various areas: the Red Sea coasts (38%),Suez (14%), Sinai (11%), Upper Egypt (9%), and the Nile Valley (2%).The estimated number of quarries located all over Egypt is 500 quarries. The number of the quarries is almostgeographically distributed as follows:• 300 marble and marbleized limestone quarries in South Galala• 100 granite quarries in Aswan and Red Sea• 50 marble and granite quarries in Sinai• 50 marble and marbleized limestone quarries inNorth Galala.The quarries capacity is high in which they extract output which is equal to 5 million ton per year.In Egypt, there is theTrue Marble which is found within the basement rocks. TheTrue Marble is crystalline limestonethat is characterized with diverseproportions of dolomite.

This kind of marble is available mainly in two places.The first place isWadi Al Miyah which is located in the EasternDesert between Edfuand Marsa Alam. In this place, True Marble has different color variation mainly white, black, or grey.The second place isWadi Al Alaqi that is in southeast of Aswan.Trust Marmar's main source of supply is its own quarries. This clearly distinguishes it from other companies and enables it toguarantee rapid supply of Natural Stone for large projects.Trust Marmar owns two quarries of Galala marble which is extracted from a mountain called Galala located in Suez city, Egypt.It was named of the trade name of this mountain "Galala Marble". Its colors are creamy and creamy white as its variationsdiffer according to the quarry stones.Quarry Production ProcessStone quarrying is a multistage process by which rock is extracted from the ground and cut into the required sizes to be usedcommercially or in homes. At theTrust Marmar quarry engineers will profile the surface, then design the blasting process andplot the rock to be extracted.After blasting, secondary cutting will be done subsequently using hydraulic diggers and other equipment.The cutting cango up to three or four stages.The cut rocks are transported along the process line on conveyor belts or down chutes.These are then sent to the factories for further processing into the desired slabs or tilesBecause of our blocks derive from the best and most productive quarries in Egypt;Trust Marmar ensures that each individual project will be completed with materialsourced from the same quarry to ensure consistency in tonality.Through our comprehensive supply management wehave a regular flow of marbleblocks in order to satisfy most new coming orders.
