Occasionally used as a food dye, indigo carmine can be useful in GI procedures as a contrast stain to temporarily mark or highlight tissue. Blue Beacon GI marker can be diluted and introduced into the irrigation, sprayed or injected around the area of interest. Available in a convenient luer lock 5 ml syringe, the 0.4% Indigo Carmine solution is supplied sterile, 5 syringes per box.
