It looks like it is officially Fall out there with the leaves

falling from our big maple tree. It has been a wonderful

October with beautiful weather. With the season chang-

ing, please ensure your child is dressed for the weather.

This year at Trout Creek School we will continue to focus

on improving the well-being of our students as part of

our school inquiry goal. Much of our work in the past

has focused on the social emotional aspect of well-being.

This year, we will also focus on the cognitive and

physical aspects of well-being . This will include hav-

ing students engage in regular self-reflection and self-

assessment of their growth and development as a person

and as a learner. Outdoor learning is just one way our

staff is working to meet the physical well-being needs

of our students. Many of our classes are taking ad-

vantage of outdoor learning opportunities both at our

school and further afield at Powell Beach. We are so for-

tunate to have a school situated so close to nature!

Thank you for your continued support within this area.
