    Exactor uses the XMLHTTPobject within IE to sendAJAX requests to theExactor server. Thisbasically means that thepage can send XML data(containing all of the info

    from the invoice) to Exactorto calculate the taxes andthen insert the results backinto the page withoutnavigating away orrefreshing the page. Thismethod is used heavily in allWeb 2.0 applications.IE implements this via anActiveX control which canbe disabled via somebrowser policies.

    1. Go to Shopping Cart admin module2. Verify internal tax module is disabled.3. Resubmit transaction

    Many shopping carts havebuilt in tax modules. Whenusing the Exactor system,these tax modules shouldbe disabled (or tax rate setto 0%). Otherwise taxesare calculated twise, byshopping cart module andby Exactor.

    45 ExactorTransactionField Cannot back-date Commit date 0 1. Check date of original transaction2. If today's date is after the 5th day of the month, and date of originatransaction is for the prior callendar month or before) - contact the Exactoradmin for a manual override.3. Provide the admin the following information:

    - Account number- Sale date- Commit date (if available)- Customer name- Total Invoice amount- Date to which trasaction should be changed to.

    Exactor only allows back-dating of a transaction up tothe last closing date of theExactor account books.

    Note: Dates cannot bechanged to earlier dates,because this would requireregenerating and filing ofthe tax return.
