What: MB Camp + Mid Adventure– Merit badges (e.g. horsemanship, astronomy,
and advanced climbing)– Advancement to 1st Class– Mid Adventure (ages 13+)
• Cavalry Adventure Camp• Cavalcade Horseback Experience
– Travel by chartered bus

– Backpacking from outpost to outpost in the mornings
– Outposts: horseback riding, mountain boarding, paintball, rock climbing, black powder shooting

– Travel back in time to 18th century Appalachia. – Dress, eat, live like the Long Hunters who
explored Va’s frontier– Cook over open fire, muzzle-loading riflery, make
your own hunting knife and sheath, blacksmithing, wilderness survival

Who: Scouts 12+ What: Canoeing in the Hill
Country– 2½ days of canoeing– Must pass BSA swim test– Travel by Van/PV

What: Week long canoe camping trek down the Buffalo River in the Ozark Mountains in Arkansas

medium boat sailing and sea kayaking, learning associated skills and enjoying Galveston Bay

no guarantees– Must pass BSA swimmer test– Travel by personal auto
