Trinity is holding a book fair!
Starting today to Oct. 15, A book
fair will be held in the Gathering
Space. You can look through books
that can help children connect with
God and books about Martin Luther,
Lutheran theology, and how Lutheran
and Catholic communities are observing
the 500th anniversary of the Reformation.
You can order and pay for the books
you like at reduced prices then pick up
your order in early November.
Registration for the Eastern ND
Synod Castaway Retreat is Due on
Monday, Sept. 11. This includes a
$50 deposit and registration paperwork.
The Middle School Retreat is scheduled
for September 22-24 and the High
School Retreat is scheduled for September
29-October 1.
There will be no Pulse on Sunday,
Sept. 24 because of Castaway.
The 2018 ELCA National
Youth Gathering is
scheduled for June 22
to July 2, 2018 in Houston
Texas. High school
students from Trinity
will join thousands of ELCA youth from
for a week of faith formation. The cost
is $1,600, which includes travel,
lodging and meals for the entire trip.
Fundraising will be done to defray costs.
Registration paperwork and a deposit
of $250 are due today. For more

Congratulations to Kayla and Christopher
Erdmann for the birth of their baby girl,
Bryleigh MaRae, on August 25.
Pastor Kristi and Pastor Susan will both

Adult Catechism Class By Heart ~ Conversations with
Martin Luther’s Small Catechism,
begins today.
Martin Luther wrote the Small Catechism
for parents to use as instruction for
children in the home. It covers, the
Apostles’ Creed, the Lord’s Prayer,
Baptism, Holy Communion and the 10
Commandments.
Our study time will be on Sundays
in the Fellowship Hall at 9:45
a.m., for seven consecutive Sundays.

Sunday Dinner for Missions a Sunday
Dinner will be held at Trinity on September
24 with proceeds benefiting the Central
African Republic Synod (our sister synod)
and the Lutheran World Relief Quilting
Project. A presentation will be given by
the Synod’s Associate with the Bishop,
Jakelle Cornell, about her 2016 visit to
the Central African Republic.
On the menu: BBQ pork, chicken,
scored potatoes, sunshine carrots,
salad, homemade rolls and pie.
Tickets are $12 for adults and $6
for children 12 and under. Tickets are
available in the church office or in the
Narthex on Sundays, Sept. 3, 10 and 17.
Tickets must be purchased by Thursday,
Sept 21.
