An Ibis Trim Collector is a passive air & material separation system. This collector can handle a wide variety of production line waste streams, ranging in size from whole products to fiber. The machine operates best in a neutral static pressure state to provide optimal separation of the material from the air stream. This allows the material to gently fall out of the bottom material discharge and into a collection device of your choice. These units have been used in numerus industries all over the world for decades and can be tailor made for your application. 5000 CFM (8500 CHM) & 10,000 CFM (17,000 CHM) are the standard units. Other units are available upon request.

This is a passive system which means no moving parts in the collector itself. This dreamily reduces safety issues and maintenance requirements. Maintaining the internal filter sleeve is the only maintenance item for this collector. We provide a safety cover to help prevent falling through the collector while maintenance is being performed.

HOW DOES IT WORK?The air and material is sent to the trim collector by a production fan. This air & material enter a turbo inlet located on top of the unit. After entering the collector, the air and material collide with a perforated metal sleeve which protects the filter sleeve from larger waste materials. This unit operates under a neutral static pressure concept. This means you take out as much air as you put in. We achieve this by using a balance fan on the air discharge of the unit. The neutral pressure in the collector allows the trim to fall out of the air stream and into the collection device located under the material discharge. The air and fine dust pass though the filter sleeve and in to the two air outlets. Each outlet has a slide gate. These slide gates allow you to adjust/balance the air flow in the unit. The air and fine dust can be sent to a MAC or Drum Filter.
