ABOUT THE SYMPOSIUMNanofluids- the fluid suspensions of nanometer-sized particles
have recently been demonstrated to have thermal conductivities
far superior to that of the liquid alone. This and their other
distinctive features offer unprecedented potential for many
applications in various fields including energy, bio and
pharmaceutical industry and chemical, electronic,
environmental, material, medical and thermal engineering.
This symposium is intended to discuss some recent advances
in the fundamental understanding of the physics of nanofluids,
especially the flow and heat transfer characteristics in different
flow situations and their impact on engineering applications.
A few aspects of mathematical developments and the
dynamics of viscous incompressible fluid flow situations will
also be discussed.
