Introduction: >India has the largest tribal population in the world. About 8.5 crores tribal live over the long corridors of Western, Central and Eastern India.

Tribe Santhals• The Santhal or Satar in Jharkhand are a scheduled tribe of indigenous to

Jharkhand, They live mainly in Jharkhand and the Indian States of Nepal, West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, and Assam. There is also a significant Santhal minority in neighboring Bangladesh.

• They are one of the largest tribal community in India. The Santhals mostly speak Santali, a member of the Munda language family.

NEEM>Neem is used to cure deases like small pox.

>Neem is the natural face wash which don’t have any harmful effect.

>Neem stem is also used as a tooth brusher

Patish:Dried roots are powdered and taken orally to cure

stomach ache and fever.

Neel-kanthi:Leaf powder is given to cure ulcer of mouth. and leaves

are used to cure breathing problems and also to cure internal sores.

Kandyari:Crushed roots are used for gastric problems.

Uses Of AnimalsRabbit:

Blood of rabbit is used to cure asthma.

Frogs: Frog boiled in oil is used for healing wounds due to

burn.

Fish: Blood of cut fish is used in foot and mouth disease; it is

also applied on sore wounds in legs too.

Antlers: Antlers are rubbed to produce a paste, which is either

drunk or applied on the stomach to get relieved of stomach pain or fever.

Tigers:tiger bones which has calcium and protein, helps

promote healing and have anti-inflammatory properties

Tribal group [MUNDA]Mundas are the tribal communities from the south east Asia. There are some evidences of the Mundas kingdom in the Pre British times. For example the Munda kingdom of Chota Nagpur, and the Bhumij states, especially Barabhum.

About:a. Places they inhabit: Munda tribe mainly inhabit in the region of Jharkhand, Although they are well spread in the states of West Bengal, Chhatisgarh, Orissa and Bihar. Munda generally means headman of the village. 

b. Language and Physical Characteristics : Mundas speak Mundari language, which belongs to the family of Austro- Asiatic. The complexion of Mundas is blackish. They have short curly hair. With the passage of time some of the Mundas resembles same features as that of the Bengali's.  

c. Occupation of the Mundas :Mundas have remained haunters for centuries. But now they have been converted into the settled agriculturist. Most of the then do not have land of their own. They are largely dependent on the labour work in the fields to earn their livelihood.

Uses Of PlantsKhnor:

Fruits are used for preparing a nutritious recipe called "Sik".

Chora: Root powder is (1–2 g) is consumed daily f to cure fever

and cold. It is also used as spice in local dishes.

Uses Of PlantsKakrya:

The sap obtained after crushing the leaves is used in treating ears with pus.

Bursa:Root powder taken with water in early morning helps to

cure gastric problems.
