SUMMARY:Accomplished technology executive with outstanding leadership skills. Accountable for the success of the Canadian technology teams in their support of Broadridge's diverse, mission critical Canadian Financial Services products and services. Proven track record in leadership, customer service, delivery on business objectives, with strong U.S. and domestic business acumen. Skilled communicator and negotiator, effective in geographically diverse matrix environments.

EXAMPLES AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

Leadership: Developed long term strategies to increase effectiveness of my team through looking at macro level issues and forming plans to address key areas that are impactful to the business. Understanding differences in people and how to leverage those differences to bring additional value to the business.

Negotiation: Took ownership of a troubled CICA Section 5970 (Canadian SAS70) audit and over the course of 2 years managed to evolve a qualified opinion to one minor exception through helping people understand mitigating controls and building better strategic relationships with our partners. Numerous purchases, statements of work, security and audit negotiations which overall have resulted in lower business risk and financial savings

Technology: Responsible for mission critical financial trading systems in an application service provider business model. Able to interact with clients and help them understand how we deliver our services and the tremendous value we bring to their organizations.

Business: Understanding acceptable business risk as it relates to the type of business you’re supporting. Simultaneously supporting 4 P&L’s with differing business models ranging from batch processing systems to mission critical financial trading systems. Leveraging standard ITIL methodologies to ensure clarity on process for Technology as well as bridge the gap between Technology, the business and our clients.

Financials: Managing multiple capital and expense budgets across multiple lines of business. Typical overall capital budget can range from 4 to 6 million dollars. Making budgets make sense to business; grouping initiatives to align to business objectives and strategy so the business can understand what they’re choosing to do or not.

Management: Manage geographically diverse teams with direct and indirect reporting relationships. 39 associates compose my direct reporting chain (including 15 In India) with an additional 38 as part of my indirect responsibility in supporting all Canadian lines of business.

OBJECTIVE:
