The lovely boys from Twist and Pulse popped into the Tresor Paris offices to say hi!

Ashley (Twist) and Glen (Pulse) have had a busy year winning £5000 for charity on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, reappearing on Britain’s Got Talent and reaching the live semi final, and presenting and performing at every single date of the 70 day Olympic Torch Relay Tour as well as at the Basketball, Badminton and Volleyball events at London 2012! As if performing for crowds of up to 70,000 a night on the Olympic Torch Relay Tour wasn’t enough, in October Twist and Pulse joined Jodie Marsh at the Diana Awards at 10 Downing Street for the 13th anniversary of the Diana Awards, which they are ambassadors for.

They wore dazzling Tresor Paris bracelets to compliment their glittering personalities and polished dance moves! Starting with a stunning Cote d’Azur white crystal and turquoise howlite bracelet with white cord and black diamond set in sterling silver, for each of them.

Twist then chose the stylish Blumeray white and blue crystal bracelet whilst Pulse went for the gorgeous Roucy white and red crystal, both finished with magnetite orbs, from the classic Tresor Paris Neptune Collection.

With such fantastic choices it’s obvious that Twist and Pulse want to make an impact with their jewellery as well as their performances!

Tresor Paris were so impressed by their energy and sparkle and cant wait to see where the New Year takes them!

Editor’s Note

Nadine Doran-HolderPress Officer

Hello and welcome to the newest edition of Tresor Paris News.

It has been an exhilarating year full of awards, events, celebrities and gorgeous new collections!

I am really excited to make my debut as the newspaper’s

new Press Officer and I seem to have arrived at just the right time! Tresor Paris has been growing at an exceptional speed and the past couple of months have been a whirlwind of events and wonderful news.

I have been thrilled to be part of Tresor Paris’ glittering social calendar. In particular I’ve been privileged enough to experience Tresor Paris’ commitment to and passion for supporting Breast Cancer Care, at their 16th Annual Breast Cancer Care Show (page 3).

I can confirm that the Tresor Paris offices are as busy as you would imagine and like an Aladdin’s cave of sparkle! I have seen thousands of crystals, from classic ranges to new designs and there is a constant flow of celebrities coming in to deck themselves out! So far in the office I’ve met Richard Blackwood, 2 Shoes, Twist and Pulse, Ray Panthaki, Damien O’Brian and Noel from Damage!

As principle sponosors of Essex Fashion Week I got to see just how much glamour Essex has to offer and how much they love Tresor Paris (page 7)!

It’s always lovely for us to see stars wearing Tresor Paris on TV and recently we have not been disappointed, the gorgeous Sam Fox was covered in Tresor Paris for her appearance on “Big Fat Quiz of the 80s”, the X Factor Finalists are wearing a lot of Tresor Paris on screen and off (page 12), and last but not least Ne-Yo has been sporting his Tresor Paris goodies on our screens too (page2)!

We have also seen our jewellery on Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper, and Verne Troyer! (check out our website for full details of celebs wearing Tresor Paris)

All these exciting things had me looking forward to each day in the office and this all happened before the mammoth event that was the MOBOs!

I’ve watched the MOBOs from the comfort of my living room for years and hadn’t ever contemplated the MOBO Awards as somewhere I might attend. This year however, I got the full experience courtesy of Tresor Paris. As sponsors of “Best UK Female” category AND the afterparty I experienced every aspect of the MOBO Awards in all its glory (and you can read all about it on pages 8-9)!

There are so many other wonderful things to tell you about but I must resist or there’ll be no space left!

So instead let me wish you a very Happy Christmas and New Year from all of us here at Tresor Paris!

Enjoy!

Tresor Parisin thePink!TRESOR PARIS were honoured and delighted to support the 16th annual Breast Cancer Care Show on 3rd October at Grosvenor House in London.

Breast Cancer Care is a charity dear to Tresor Paris’ heart, one that the company has been actively fundraising for with its beautiful Breast Cancer Care bracelets.

Breast Cancer Care work hard to increase awareness of the illness and offer emotional and practical support to anyone dealing with the impact of breast cancer. On top of all of this they tirelessly campaign to promote the importance of early detection and for improvement in the standards of support and care to all affected. No mean feat, I’m sure you will agree, and yet they manage to work that hard all year round and produce a show that is an event to look out for on any social calendar!

With its fantastic catwalk shows, celebrity appearances, amazing games, prizes and remarkable fundraising track record, each show steps up the glamour and fun!

This year was no different, lasting a full day Tresor Paris were determined not to miss a second of the action and arrived early enough to set up their stand, showcasing their original and four brand new Breast Cancer Care bracelets alongside their BCC earrings and rings. Having barely finished setting up (and all decked out in pink, of course) they were swarmed by the lovely ladies who were attending the show! As 25% from every Breast Cancer Care item that Tresor Paris sells is donated to the charity they were very happy that so many people were interested in them!

Tresor Paris are proud to say that including all of the beautiful bracelets they took orders for on the day, they were able to raise and donate over £35,000 to Breast Cancer Care this year.

Part of the show was an inspirational catwalk with 24 gorgeous models that have all been diagnosed with breast cancer. They were styled by renowned

British fashion correspondent Hilary Alexander, with designer and high street clothing, hair by Sassoon and make up by Estée Lauder, ensuring The BCC Show was a glittering triumph!

Tresor Paris were privileged to have sponsored the Heads and Tails Game which gave guests the opportunity to win two of their spectacular diamond bracelets! Tresor Paris’ show stopping prizes included a sensational white gold bracelet featuring micro set brilliant cut diamonds worth £1,199 and a luxurious diamond and rose gold bracelet with 1.8 carats worth of brilliant

cut diamonds, micro set in 18 carat rose gold surrounded by agate and

rose gold spheres, priced at £6,995!Denise Lewis OBE and radio DJ and television

presenter Edith Bowman presented this magnificent show and Joe McElderry captivated the audience with an afternoon performance. The evening opened with an amazing exclusive set from Geri Halliwell who shimmered in her glitzy outfit, performing some well-known numbers as well as some new material. Geri was followed by fantastic entertainment from

Britain’s Got Talent dance troupe Flawless!

There were incredible attendees, spectacular models, electric performances, gorgeous food and drink, and of course fabulous fundraising, which hit the £345,000 mark from donations and charity auctions!

If you missed out, don’t worry, you can still buy the Tresor Paris Breast Cancer Care jewellery on their website and they will continue to donate 25% of each purchase to the charity!

A remarkable show for a magnificent charity that Tresor Paris will continue to support, Congratulations Breast Cancer Care!

PPQ’s cutting-edge style was created by Amy Molyneaux and Percy Parker in London, 1992 and continues to thrive.

Dressing the music industries revolutionaries like Peter Doherty and the late Amy Winehouse, PPQ led the drainpipe jean uprising and made the labels signature smocks and modern cocktail dresses into every fasionistas must have item!

Not content with dressing the music industry, PPQ have become truly

interdisciplinary with their own record label, 1-2-3-4 Records. The record label is as forward thinking as PPQs clothing, with talent including Whitey, The Bishops, Trafalgar and Cosmetique.

Keeping the fashion foot forward, within the decadently elaborate backdrop of London’s Goldsmiths Hall, on the

14th September, PPQ delivered a young and vibrant collection to a heaving crowd.

With devoted PPQ fans including a select group of artists and

contemporary style icons like Rihanna, Peaches Geldof, Daisy Lowe, Alexa Chung, Kirsten Dunst and Sienna Miller, PPQs statement pieces are hugely sought after!

This fabulous show didn’t fail to make a lasting impression on all who attended, including the celebs like Jameela Jamil, Dionne Bromfield and Gizzy Irksine on the front row!

Shimmering with excitement, Tresor Paris provided glittering bespoke creations and ready to wear pieces from their current collections to amplify the ‘sophis-cadelic’

This Autumn marked Tresor Paris’ second outing onto the catwalk at London Fashion Week. Collaborating with cult fashion Label PPQ for their highly anticipated Spring Summer 13 show, Tresor Paris lavished the models in a shower of crystals!

theme! The clothing label nodded to 60s glamour with elegant up-dos, bold electric prints, nautical flourishes and lashings of floaty chiffon.

To take the glamour-puss theme up a notch, Tresor Paris immersed the models in their signature scintillating crystals, enhancing wrists, shoes, necklines and even hair!

Each model was crowned with a gorgeous black crystal Cublac choker

from the Tresor Paris Venus collection in their hair, and one of our favourite looks was magnificent multilayered black 8mm Angers and 10mm Orne Crystal and Magnetite necklaces from the Neptune collection worn against a red chiffon PPQ creation.

Then there were the show-stopping bespoke pieces, from an impressive oversize heart necklace featuring thousands of striking pink crystals to a flawless shimmering white statement collar enriched with an extravagant amount of their finest crystals!

Tresor Paris were honored to be involved in such a successful and imaginative catwalk show!

Congratulations PPQ!

Caring For Your PearlsIF you have a bracelet from the sublime Cygnus collection then we know that you appreciate the delicate beauty of timeless fresh water pearls.

There are a few simple things you can do to preserve the captivating lustre of these opulent pearls.

Cleaning PearlsAfter you wear the pearls, just wipe them off with a soft

cloth or chamois which can be dry or damp. Pay attention to the areas around the drill holes where dirt may tend to collect.

Storing PearlsIf the pearl become dehydrated, they can get brittle and crack. They should not be

kept near heaters or in places that get strong sunlight. Safe deposit boxes can be unusually dry, so try to take them out occasionally.

Since pearls are soft, they should be kept in something that will protect them from scratches, Jewellery pouches or cloth bags are ideal.

Having the Pearls StrungPearl jewellery can stretch with time and cord can get dirty and weak. Thus, they

should be restrung periodically.

Miscellaneous Pearl Care• Take your pearls off when applying cosmetics, hair spray, and perfume which will

harm the pearl. • Take the pearls off when showering or swimming. It is not good to get the cord

wet. • Avoid wearing pearls with rough fabrics. They can scratch the pearls

TP: How did it all begin for Marlows Jewellers?MJ: Marlows of Boldmere is a Third Generation family run jewellers which was first established in Birmingham’s jewellery quarter before husband and wife team Kay and Steve Marlow made the move to the busy High Street that is Boldmere.

However, you would be mistaken if you thought it is just a “traditional” jewellers. They now have some of the biggest and most stylish names in the jewellery industry.

TP: What makes you stand out from the other jewellery stores in your area?MJ: We go the extra mile – and we have a customer comments book that backs this up. Customers come back to us time and time again and we like to build up a rapport with our customers as we rely on recommendations – we even have a national following and customer base – having to POST tresor items up to the Outer Hebrides – this was our latest request!! – and we were told that our customer service at Marlows Boldmere was the reason they bypassed all other stockists.

TP: Can you describe Marlows Jewellers in three words?MJ: Reliable, quality, up to date.

TP: What is the interior of your store like?MJ: We like to think that we are a modern stylish shop that is also approachable and gives a relaxed shopping experience which our customers always comment on. We have a wonderful “coffee” smell permeating through the shop from our coffee machine which customers are encouraged to use, and a nice bright airy feel to the place. We also have the jewellery concession at House of Fraser in Sutton Coldfield so, again, there we have a totally different “department store “ feeling – always endeavouring to be up to date with style and shine through.

TP: What can customers expect from the Marlows Jewellers shopping experience?MJ: A totally dedicated “personal shopping experience”. You are our customer from start to finish and we are devoted. We are sure that our customers would agree with this.

TP: What does Marlows Jewellers pride itself on the most?MJ: Our customer service is second to none and we have awards to back this up! The comments from our returning customers, as well as new customers, always make us believe in what we do and the way we do it. We also pride ourselves in our choice of brands and the following of trends!

TP: What is the Tresor Paris bracelet of choice for the fashion forward shoppers?MJ: Definitely the champagne coloured Deauville bracelet from the Neptune collection, it complements all skin tones and is glamourous yet understated.

TP: Out of the new Tresor Paris collections which bracelet do you have your eye on?MJ: The black diamond set in white gold plated sterling silver

pave set white crystal Aubagne bracelet, from the Andromeda collection, without a doubt!

TP: What is your top selling Tresor Paris item?MJ: Earrings – in all sizes as they are an affordable luxury to all ages and pockets.

TP: With Christmas just around the corner which Tresor Paris piece would make the perfect gift?MJ: Well with Christmas and New Years Eve parties just on the horizon, we would imagine that the perfect gift for a lot of our party going customers would be the red crystal Carcassonne bracelet from the Neptune collection. With its crystal heart charm, the Carcassonne would also tick all boxes for the romantics out there. And of course the La Fleche white and grey crystal bracelet from the Neptune collection is perfect everyday wear.

TP: What do you think makes Tresor Paris so popular?MJ: It’s a brand worn by many celebrities and the youth of today is very conscious of celebrity followings – the likes of TOWIE, Cheryl Cole JLS and other celebrities always seem to lead the way for fashion conscious people.

Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel can be considered to have been the most significant and innovative

fashion designer to date. As Christian Dior so eloquently described her: “With a black pullover and ten rows of pearls she revolutionized fashion.”

Not only is Chanel known for her little black dress and her No 5

fragrance, but also her definitive and timeless suits, shoes, purses and jewellery. Her designs

helped redefine women’s fashion. In some of the most well-known portraits of Coco Chanel you will

find her wearing strands upon strands of pearls layered over a simple black blouse, giving a feminine touch to her contemporary, slightly masculine designs.

Pearls were Coco’s favorite jewellery pieces and she wore them in abundance rocketing them firmly into “chic” status.

Although Chanel became the epitome of style, her early years were anything but glamorous. After her mother’s death, Chanel was put in an orphanage by her father who worked as a peddler. She was raised by nuns who taught her how to sew—a skill that would lead to her amazing life’s work. Her nickname came from another profession entirely. During her brief career as a singer, Chanel performed in clubs in Vichy and Moulins where she was called “Coco.” Some say that the name comes from one of the songs she used to sing, and Chanel herself said that it was a “shortened version of cocotte, the French word for ‘kept woman”.

Opening her first shop on Paris’s Rue Cambon in 1910, Chanel started out selling hats. She later added stores in Deauville and Biarritz and began making clothes. Her first taste of clothing success came from a dress she fashioned out of an old jersey on a chilly day. In response to the many people who asked about where she got the dress, she offered to make one for them. “My fortune is built on that old jersey that I’d put on because it was cold in Deauville,” she once told author Paul Morand.

Just like Coco Chanel’s take on style her bobbed hair, bright red lips and outspoken manner also broke the mould. This smoking, outspoken woman never married - although she had relations with the English industrialist Arthur “Boy” Capel - who lent her the money to buy Rue Cambon - Igor Stravinsky and the second Duke of Westminster Hugh “Bendor” Grosvenor, the richest man in Europe.

Undoubtedly the queen of chic, who wouldn’t want to emulate Chanel’s love for pearls?
