As owner and director of Parker Cabling &
Trenching Services, described is a précis of
the company history and functions.
The company commenced approximately
Original work was based around the use
of grundomats.
Telstra and various councils throughout Tasmania
would engage us for conduits beneath roadways
and driveways for Telstra cables and water lines.
INTRODUCTION
1.
Original work was based around the use of grundomats.
Our Telstra works has grown in a similar way, from grundomating
driveways and roads for Telstra civil crews to link up.
An extensive knowledge of the Telstra infrastructure system
was gained. I was fortunate enough to work with some very
experienced and smart operators within Telstra.
Experience was gained in all facets of Telstra works which has
been passed on to my staff and has helped bring the company
to where it is at present, well structured, competent and able to
deliver the highest quality of work.
COUNCILS WORKSOur works with councils has grown from grundomating
water lines to directional drilling water, stormwater
and sewer lines at fall.
Having had strong relations with councils over this period
has given us a greater awareness of what is expected
when working in the inner city and suburbs.
I believe this experience has given us an advantage
over our competitors.
Our office staff notify council works inspectors of dates,
times and our location of different work sites.
TELSTRA WORKS
2.
I believe this experience has
given us an advantage over our
competitors.
This is shown in the fact we now work for numerous companies, either doing civil works as in full construction of projects
or simply directional drilling.
Working on Optus builds has now become part of our work in the inner city.
As companies have enlisted us for work, we have retained these companies and all seek to re-engage Parker Cabling
& Trenching Services for further work.
Example;
BSA engaged us for NBN works in Tasmania, afterwards paid to re-locate us for some months to Kyama, Sydney for a portion
of their NBN work. On our departure we were asked if they could engage the services of one of our supervisors to help run their field staff.
Parker Cabling & Trenching Services are constantly looking to expand into different areas, as we are willing to meet new challenges
