Cameron Highlands is a perfect getaway for those who wish to retreat into the highlands to enjoy the cool fresh mountain air and the green hills. Named after the British Surveyor, William Cameron who discovered the place in 1885, the tea cultivated is among one of the best in the Country. Those who wish to do some activities, can trek in the forest to the waterfall, enjoy drinking tea in quaint English-styled tea houses or take a 4-wheel drive to the top of the mountain for a breath-taking view of the hills. You can also visit the many �ower farms, as exporting �owers is an increasingly important economic activity.

Day 01 – Kuala Lumpur - Cameron Highlands (220 km)Depart by 0830 hrs for the Cameron Highlands which are located 1,542 metres above sea level, famed for its tea plantations and cool temperature. On the way, we will visit Batu Caves (except three days of pre and post during Thaipusam festival), the sacred cave temple for the Hindus, a cottage industry of basket weaving, a native settlement and Lata Iskandar Waterfall. Enjoy afternoon tea at the hotel. At leisure on arrival (between 1600 and 1700 hrs). Overnight. [Afternoon tea]

Day 02 – Cameron Highlands (Discover Cameron Tour – soft adventure)After breakfast depart for an exploratory tour of Cameron Highlands, used as a highland retreat station for the British during the colonial days. Proceed to Gunung or Mount Brinchang, the highest peak (6,666ft.) in Cameron Highlands. Upon arrival, walk up the observation tower where you will be treated with a fantastic view over the area. Early in the morning, or when the

temperature is rising fast you will witness the whole dense forest covered in white mist. Cruise down the hill to visit one of the strawberry farms where we can pay a small fee to pick fresh succulent strawberries by hand. From the farm, we will continue to visit the most scenic tea plantation, the Sungei Palas Boh estate which is regarded as the largest and best known tea station in the region. Enjoy the amazing views over endless valleys covered with tea bushes. Take a tea break after the brief guided tour of the factory. After the refreshing tea break, visit Butter�y & Reptiles Farm to view the many beautiful butter�y species including the renowned Raja Brooke. Stop at a day market where most of the local produce can be found. Spend some time here exploring the many delightful �nds. Last part of the tour will be a 1.5hrs walk (less than 2.5kms) through some of the unmarked trails still used by the natives. Discover the simple lifestyle of our highland natives who has been living in this part of the forests for more than a century. Observe the interesting �ora such as pitcher plants, wild orchids, funky fungi, tree-bound epiphytes, huge tree ferns and lipstick plants or take a glimpse of the small creatures such as millipedes, lizards, frogs, and squirrels (sighting of animals are

Day 01 – KuchingUpon arrival at the Kuching Airport, transfer and check into hotel. Your noon walking tour of Kuching will take you to visit the Tua Pek Kong Chinese Temple, the oldest in Sarawak, Jalan Gambier where colourful local markets are located beside the spice shops. View the Astana from the waterfront. Lastly, visit Sarawak Museum, one of the best museums in South East Asia. Overnight.

Day 02 – Kuching – Bako National Park – KuchingBreakfast. Today we visit Bako National Park which covers an area of 16 square kilometres of primary forest. There are 25 types of vegetation ranging from lush cli� and lowland dipterocarp forests to almost desert-like scrubs on the upper plateau. Among these vegetation communities are the carnivorous pitcher plants, sundews and bladderworts. The mangrove forest provides a home for the Long-nosed or Proboscis Monkeys (endemic to Borneo), Long-tailed Macaques, Silver-leafed Monkeys, Monitor Lizards, deer and wild boars. We will go for a jungle walk and enjoy the di�erence vegetation types that Bako has to o�er in addition to its natural rocks and cli�s. Overnight. (Meal: Breakfast, Lunch)

Day 04 – MuluAfter breakfast, transfer by longboat to explore Wind Cave and Clearwater Cave and then enjoy a picnic lunch beside a beautiful clear water spring. Swim and relax before returning downriver to the park headquar-ters. Continue with an interesting walk on a raised plank walk through a peat swamp forest to Deer Cave, reputed to be the world’s largest unmapped cave passage. Visit Lang Cave, which houses some beautiful cave formations. If weather permits, be mesmer-ised by the natural phenomenon as millions of bats depart the caves each night! Overnight. Another half-hour drive you will get to enjoy the spectacular sunset at the northern most tip of Borneo. Overlook the South China Sea with a glass of wine. Another 20-minute drive we will check into the Kudat Golf and Marina Resort, the only resort in town. Refresh and relax, the programme is free and easy. Dinner at local restaurant. Next, drive further northward where we will stop to visit a basket weaving cottage industry. These woven bamboo baskets are used to transport farm produce to the market place. En route to the highlands, visit the Iskandar Waterfall, nestled at the foot of a hill and a native settlement. Observe the native lifestyle and see how a blowpipe is used by them for hunting. On arrival, enjoy the cool crisp air of Cameron Highlands and the wonderful scenery. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight.

MOUNT KINABALUDay 01 – Kota Kinabalu – Kota Kinabalu Park (90 km)0800hrs pick up from a city Hotel for a 2.25-hour journey to Kinabalu National Park. The park covers an area of 754 sq km and the summit is 4,101m. Within its boundaries, you will �nd lowland rainforest at its lower level, montane vegetation at its medium level and conifers and other alpine �ora at the summit. After the guided nature trail, you will have lunch.

After a video presentation of the park, take a leisurely guided mountain garden walk. In the late afternoon, you can either relax and enjoy the tropical scenery or explore the many nature trails before enjoying a hearty dinner. Overnight at local lodge or park accommodation. (Meals: Lunch, Dinner)

Day 02 – Summit of Mount KinabaluAfter breakfast, register with the park o�cer

for your climb up Mount Kinabalu, the highest mountain in Malaysia. We start the climb towards the power station at 1,829 metres and from here begin to trek along summit trail. Along the way, boxed lunch will be served. Look out for wild orchids, ferns, pitcher plants and rhododendrons. Arrive Laban Rata at 3,353 metres at approximately 1500 hrs. Day 01 – Kuala Lumpur – ChinatownUpon arrival at the airport, you will be met and transferred to the hotel. The rest of the day is free at leisure. At 1800 hrs, proceed to Chinatown, a place that is bustling with shops, stalls selling clothes, shoes, watches etc and many varieties of food stalls. Haggling is a cardinal rule here and the place is usually crowded with locals as well as tourists. Stroll along the stalls and restaurants and enjoy sights and smell of this bustling market.

Dinner at the Old China Café, a quaint restaurant o�ering Peranakan cuisine (a mix of Chinese-Malay in�uences). As you walk into the dining lobby decorated with antique decorations and ornament, you will be transported to Malaya in the early 1900s. Overnight. After that, we continue our walking tour to the inner city of Georgetown – Campbell Street, Kapitan Keling Mosque, Sri Mariammah Temple, Kuan Yin Temple and Little India. MULU NATIONAL PARK

Day 01 – MuluUpon arriving at Mulu National Park, you will be transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the tranquility and pristine environment of Mulu. The notable towering white cli�s and jungle are homes to not less than 20,000 species of �ora and fauna (mostly insects), over 3,500 plant species, 8,000 types of fungi and at least 170 kinds of orchids. You may be lucky enough to stumble upon the world’s largest �ower, the dog-eared Ra�esia in bloom.

Head o� to the Park’s headquarter and from there take the 3 km raised plank walk to explore the Deer and Lang Caves – the largest cave passage in the world. This interesting walk will take you through the peat swamp forest to visit the Deer Cave, famed for having the world's largest cave passage. Due to its immense size, Deer Cave is like a little world of its own, with hills and valleys, plains and forests (near the hugh entrance). You cannot but be mesmerized by this “Garden of Eden,” complete with lush trees and a waterfall.

Lang Cave though smaller, it is no less impressive. Be dazzled by walls of uniquely decorated & spectacular stalagmites, stalactites and other beautiful cave formations. The bats deposit a huge amount of guano in the cave providing a unique and important ecosystem, to millions of insects and their predators. In the evening, behold the spectacular sights of millions of snake-like formation of �ying bats leaving from

Day 02 – MuluBreakfast. We will continue with our exploration of Mulu caves with a boat ride to Clearwater Cave. You will explore some parts of the longest cave passage in South East Asia and the tenth longest in the world at 107 kilometers. The water is crystal clear due to the process of �ltering and purifying by the rushing river water which passes through hundreds of meters of limestone. Out by the river is a perfect spot for swimming and relaxing, a wonderful antidote to the tropical heat. Enjoy a picnic lunch beside the cool, clear river.

Explore the Wind Cave, named after the cool breeze that fans from its entrance and famed for its unusual calcite formations. The “King’s Room” unravels a treasure trove of impressive glistening stalactites and stalagmites.

Day 01 – Sandakan – Selingan Island (40 km)Meet at 0800hrs at your hotel lobby or upon arrival ex- Sandakan airport [recommended MH2042] and transfer to the jetty. A 45 minutes boat ride will take us to Selingan Island where you can swim, sunbath or snorkel (gear can be hired and subject to availability). Day 02 – Selingan Island – Sepilok – Kinabatangan River (195 km)Breakfast. Depart for the Sandakan Jetty at 0700hrs boat, from there, depart overland to Sepilok Orangutan Sanctuary to visit the Orangutans which have been orphaned, rescued from illegally captivity or injured. In the Sanctuary, they are being rehabilitated to prepare them to be sent back to the wild. Witness the feeding of the orangutans.

From here, we depart overland to Kinabatangan River. We will pass through scenic countryside, local villages and planta-tion. On arrival, check into a lodge along the Kinabatangan River. In the late afternoon go for a river cruise in search of wildlife. The lower reach of Kinabatangan River has the greatest concentration of wildlife in Borneo. The most famous creature of all is undoubt-edly the bizarre looking, Proboscis monkeys. Overnight at Lodge (no air-condition) along the Kinabatangan River. Day 03 – Kinabatangan River – Gomantong – Sandakan (155 km) Wake up to the sound of Borneo. At 0600hrs, go on an early morning 1 ½ boat cruise on the famous Kinabatangan and its surrounding in search of more wildlife. The dramatic change of colors in the horizon as dawn sets in and beautiful birds of the Kinabatangan region make this boat ride an interesting one. SARAWAK SECRETS WITH SANTUBONG MANGROVE CRUISE

Day 01 – KuchingExplore on your own, mouth watering local cuisine or shop for interesting handycrafts in the quaint city by foot or take a boat along the Sarawak River. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02 – Kuching0900hrs meet in hotel lobby and proceed for Kuching city tour. This comprehensive tour highlights the main places of interest in Kuching - the historical city. Places of interest include the Kuching South Municipal Hall, the gigantic cat statue greeting visitors to Chinatown and the Tua Pek Kong Temple (the oldest Chinese Temple in Sarawak, built in 1876). From this temple, you can get a clear view of the imposing Fort Magherita (not open to the public) across the river. From there, proceed to visit the Sarawak Museum before heading for the Civic Centre Tower for a panoramic view of the city. Then drive through Malay villages with traditional houses built on stilts and get a view of the majestic former state mosque before stopping to take a walk along Gambier Street, where the markets are located.

Upon arriving at the Kuching Waterfront, you can see the Astana across the river, built by the second White Rajah, Charles Brooke in

mind that the main aim of the centre is to return these animals back into their habitat. Do not be disappointed if you do not see any roaming the jungles or coming back to feed as this means they are able to forage on their own and do not need human assistance.

Along this river live the famous Ibans who were once the most fearsome pirates and headhunters. Today, they live harmoniously as farmers, �shing and hunting in the surrounding jungles. The highlight of the tour is the traditional welcome with maidens in ceremonial regalia and the Ngajat dance. Tuak, the local rice wine is served and you will have a chance to try your hand at handling the blowpipe. Also enjoy a cock-�ght demonstration. Day 05 – Kuching – Half Day Santubong Mangrove CruiseBreakfast. Depending on the tide (morning or afternoon), take a boat ride to the

estuaries of the Santubong River and Salak Rivers - a �ourishing area controlled by the tides. The park comprises mainly saline mangroves including an extensive network of waterways and tidal creeks which form an important spawning ground for �sh and prawn species. There is a diverse wildlife including Proboscis Monkeys, Long-tailed Macaques, Monitor Lizards, Estuarine Crocodiles (Crocodylus porosus) and birds such as King�shers, White-bellied Eagles, various wading birds and the very rare Lesser Adjutant Stork. You may even catch a glimpse of the shy Irrawaddy Dolphins which are sometimes seen in the early morning hours and before sunset. Return to the city. (Meals : Breakfast)

Day 06 – Kuching – Bako Park Day TourBreakfast. At 0830hrs, depart for Bako National Park. This is the oldest national park in Sarawak, which o�ers the perfect introduction to Sarawak’s forests and wildlife. The park is located at the northern tip of Muara Tebas Peninsula. It can be reach by a half-hour drive by coach and another 30-minute by boat. The park has on area of 16sq.km. of primary forest with an abundance of botanical treasures made up of 25 types of vegetation. Amongst this plant life is the carnivorous pitcher plant. Bako’s mangrove forest is home to the Proboscis Monkey, found only in Borneo. Other species found here are the Long-tailed

Macaques, Silver-leafed Monkeys, Monitor Lizards and Bearded Pigs. There are a number of trails for exploring the park with a several indented sandy bays providing excellent swimming grounds. These animals are trained or re-trained to survive in their natural habitat. They learn how to forage for natural food and built nests in the trees. Many have been returned into the surrounding forests. However there are few that will never re-learn their wild skills due to their long association with and resulting dependence on humans.

Take a walk on the trails and try to spot semi-wild Orang Utans. There are feeding times scheduled everyday at various feeding platforms. However always bear in

Day 01 – Kuala Lumpur – Kuala Tembeling Jetty (200 km) then by boat to Taman NegaraYou will be met in your hotel lobby in the city centre between 0730hrs to 0745hrs to be transferred to the shuttle coach depart-ing point to embark on a 4 hours journey to Kuala Tembeling jetty. Please proceed to register yourself with the National Park and Wildlife Department. At 1330 hrs, board a motorised longboat for 3 hours ride to Kuala Tahan, the headquarters of Taman Negara. On route you will be passing by local villages and lush tropical rainforest. Birds, monkeys, monitor lizards or water bu�aloes may be seen along the river. This afternoon, we will take a motorised boat to the cataracts of Lata Berkoh. There is a deep pool delightful for swimming, resting or reading on the rocky area overlooking the river. Lubok Tenor, blessed with clear water (unless there is recent heavy rain) and many �sh is the result of a successful ecotourism project involving local villagers and the government to create �sh sanctuar-ies. Return to the resort. The boat will drift along the river quietly in search of wild birds and animals. However, sighting of wildlife is not guaranteed. Overnight.

Day 03 – Taman Negara by boat to Kuala Tembeling Jetty then overland to Kuala LumpurBreakfast. After breakfast, take a water taxi to cross the river to board the boat back to Kuala Tembeling. The boat will depart at 0900hrs. This journey will take about 2 to 3 hours, depending on water level of the river. Check out and depart to Kinabatangan. With lunch en route, drive through scenic countryside, local villages and plantations. Depending on tra�c conditions, the journey takes about 3-4 hours with a short boat trip at the end to take you to the lodge. The lower reaches of Kinabatangan River have the greatest concentration of wildlife in Borneo. Day 04 – Kinabatangan River – Gomantong Cave - Sandakan (155 km) Wake up to the sounds of Borneo as birds and most wildlife are most active just before daylight. Therefore, we will take a 1½-hour boat trip in the midst of the dramatic change of colors in the horizon as dawn sets in at six o’clock in the morning. The colourful birds of the Kinabatangan region make this boat ride an interesting one. Some of the bird species found here are the elegant egrets, king�sh-ers, oriental darter, the swift, vividly coloured bee-eaters, and hornbills.

Return to the lodge for breakfast and check-out. Travel by boat to Bilit Village from the lodge and meet the Orang Sungai Tribe (literally means the people of the river). Visit their homes and cook local lunch with them and later dine with the family. After that, travel overland to Sandakan passing through scenic countryside, local villages and plantations. En-route, we will drop by Gomantong Cave, famous for nesting swi�ets which the nests are used to make birds nest soup, a Chinese delicacy that is believed to be good for the complexion.

Since the discovery of the Cameron Highlands by William Cameron in 1885, the highlands have not only been transformed into a farming land and a retreat for the wealthy Chinese businessman but has also become the most popular destination for local and foreign holiday makers alike.

In 1929, John Archibald Russell a Scottish, was the first person to be granted a piece of land to cultivate tea in this region. Today, his company Boh Plantations is the biggest tea grower in Malaysia.

This half-day tour will take you to one of his tea plantations to watch the processing of black tea and later to sample various kind of tea in the tea house. After the tea break we will visit our local fruit and vegetable market, an apiary farm,Butterfly garden, Chinese Buddhist temple, Cactus and Flower gardens and lastly a Strawberry farm.

In a mossy forest, animals like frogs, birds, snakes, insects and certain mammals thrive, making it more challenging for a night trek. This trip requires you to be on high alert and engage all your senses as the dark brings the unexpected. And on a cold night, when temperatures can drop to as low as 15C, a hot cup of coffee or tea is extremely welcoming.

Day 2 After breakfast, drive 2 hours overland (88km) to the foothills of Mt. Kinabalu. The Mountain Garden, an excellent 5-acre specimen of entire Kinabalu Park area gives a wonderful sneak preview of the place. At the Exhibition Hall, a very informative video presentation is shown every afternoon. Evenings and early morning at the park are perfect for bird watching with over 300 species known to inhabit the area. Kinabalu Park received the greatest recognition of its biological contribution when it was declared Malaysia's first World Heritage in 2000. From the cool temperatures at the Kinabalu Park, down to the warm baths at Poring, the usual swing-by for climbers seeking to rejuvenate trail-weary bodies. Poring is also for those in search of rare orchids and unusual plants such as the world's largest flower, the Rafflesia. The canopy walkway at 41m upwards brings you eye level with the treetop.

Day 3 After breakfast, transfer to jetty for 20 minutes boat journey to Manukan Island. Manukan Island is ideal for swimming and snorkelling and the fine white sand beach is perfect for catching some rays. Then move over to Sapi Island where pack lunch will be served. Island entrance fee is included. Later, take a boat ride to Gaya Island for a 250 metres Ziplineadventure. Just a short trail to walk up to the launching platform and Zip back to Sapi Island.

This cruise combines the Mangrove Cruise with a visit to the Santubong River mouth in search of the Irrawaddy dolphins. Dolphin watching may take place before or after the mangrove cruise, depending on tidal conditions. Dolphins wild creatures and therefore sightings cannot be guaranteed, although we usually enjoy a high success rate. Lunch at the local restaurant. Then, visit the Semengok Wildlife Centre. The best place in Sarawak to view semi-wild orang utans, who have been rescued from captivity and trained to survive in the surrounding forest reserve. The rehabilitated animals roam freely in the rain forest, and often return to the centre at feeding time. Thanks to the successful breeding programme at Semonggok there is a good possibility of experiencing one of the most heart-warming sights in Borneo – an orang utan mother with a young baby. The centre is 30 mins drive from Kuching and another 20 mins on foot. Feeding times at the centre at 0830hrs and 1500hrs. Transfer to city hotel for check-in and free at leisure.

4D3N JUNGLE EXPRERIENCE

Day 1 Depart from Istana Hotel Kuala Lumpur at 0800hrs and expected arrival at Kuala Tembeling at 1100hrs. Crossing to Taman Negara by boat. Registration for entry permit, camera and fishing license at the Department of Wildlife Counter.

Day 2 After breakfast, proceed on to a jungle trekking to Teresek Hill and walk on the Canopy Walkway. It is the longest hanging bridge in the world.

Day 3 After breakfast, experience the Rapid Shooting which you will feel the excitement of being drenched and beautiful view of flora and fauna along the river bank. In the evening, visit the Aborigines Settlement. Dinner at the Seri MutiaraRestaurant.

Day 4 After breakfast, check-out and depart for Kuala Lumpur at 1330hrs
